Started by bid at $93. Started with the Arlington area. Kept increasing my bid and changing my areas to include Crystal City, Alexandria Old Town and Alexandria West. After a few tries, won the bid for $100 at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center. Look forward to my visit!

I'm also having a hard time getting a winning bid. I am looking to stay in the DC area (preferably Crystal City)between sept 21 thru sept 28. Have tried with bids starting in the $90 range and have recently bid at $130 with no winnng bid. Please keep us posted on your bidding.

I didn't realize this was high season. Maybe I should try breaking up my bid for one week into multiple bids for shorter stays. I will give HOTWIRE a try. I was hoping to get a room for around $100 but it may be difficult during this time. Thanks for your help!

Looking to stay in the Crystal City area from 9-21 to 9-28. Have bid for the past few days with no winning bid. Starting bid was $85 now up to $100 with no win. Looking in history of recent post have seen some winning bids in the $80 range. How much should I expect to pay for this area? Thinking I might have to pay higher amount for a week stay?
