  1. Not sure if it helps but I just booked Marriott Marquis in Times Square area 4* for same dates for $175 a night. Not sure how small the rooms are though but the last minute rate on the Marriott website is 2x the price
  2. Used PRICELINE link. Rebid zones are the best. Seems to be a good hotel with 24 hr airport transportation and the pool is open much later then other hotel - Heated swimming pool and whirlpool, with poolside beverage delivery Pool Hours: 6:00am - 12:00am
  3. For around the same price and * level i won Manchester Grand Hyatt for the trips I took the last two weekends. It will be nice to try somewhere different. I started at $75 and was given counter offer for $93. Knowing my history earlier this month i knew i was close. I added a few re-bid zones and won. Considering this hotel has complimentary airport shuttle that will shave $16 off my total cost for not having to use super shuttle like with the hyatt. I will try to score an upgrade with my starwood gold status
  4. Bid through the PRICELINE link. Bid $35 and received counter offer of $41 which i turned down. used rebid zone and got it for $37.
  5. Labor Day weekend is going to be hard to find hotels discounting their rates. Right now most 4+ star hotels are going for 230+ a night on sites like hotels .com. You may need to bring your star level or book further out from downtown
  6. Used PRICELINE link. Started at $85 and using rebid zones going up to $120 and jumped up to $130 which was accepted.
  7. Its not the hotel i was hoping for but the usual 3.5* i stay at were going for $150. I started at 60 and used the rebid zones ($5 increments). I used the PRICELINE link I initially started with 4* and used all rebid zones and gave up at $115. I would have gone higher but this is just a quick strop
  8. Amenities are as follows: Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Not my favorite hotel chain but it was not much more then the hostel i was thinking about staying at. Much cheaper then the hotels i was seeing on priceline. Advanced pay price on the hotels website is about $30 more then i paid. I'm not actually spending the night just to rest for a 7 hours before check in for my flight
  9. I just checked the hotels website and the regular prepaid price is 229CAD so this was a steal of a deal at close to 70% off. Free breakfast will come in handy.
  10. I stayed there for three nights last year. The rooms are huge. Its a good place Heres some pics i took: http://www.realhotelphotos.com/index.php?&.../Inlet%20Towers
  11. I received the email stating i can rebid again. Used the PRICELINE link from here and increased my bid to $70 for 3* and received Residence Inn Toronto Downtown/Entertainment District
  12. After losing out on my 4 and 3.5 bids, I tied the PRICELINE link again for 3*. I'm pretty sure my issues is because summer travel season is picking up. I tried $60 and before it would even try my bid i received a "Based on recent data, your price has almost no chance of being accepted." message. I went ahead anyways and was given counter offer of $75, now knowing this is a trick i tried $65 but was still denied. I feel i'm getting close. No rebid zones are left so i will have to try later. BTW Best deal for initial bids switched from Downtown South to Airport West. I see a rate of $80 for 3* for the chose your specific hotel option. so i may just give up on downtown. I need to save money for the Hong Kong portion of my trip
  13. Started at 50 and worked my way up to $70 in $5 increments. I'll retry later. I'm willing to go down to 3* and if still no luck i'm going to try around Pearson airport and just get up extra early to get to Toronto city airport for my flight home
  14. I'm fairly sure its because summer travel season starts to heat up end of May early June. I'm working on getting a hotel for for the same area the day after you and also bid up to $90.
  15. I started at $60 and increased my bid $5 on each rebid zone and was turned down each time. Last bid was $90.
  16. I tried to extend by 1 night but was turned down.
  17. I got this on my first bid. I was kind of joking when i put $65 in thinking i would never get it otherwise I would have tried lower. I forgot to book through the PRICELINE link. I sent a donation via paypal for this and another one i missed this year. Its much closer to Billy Bush airport that Porter fly's into and 1/2 the price of the other hotels i was looking at
  18. My friend says there every time she comes to Portland. She loves it and refuses to stay elsewhere. This weekend will be my first time staying overnight but i have been in the hotel and seen the rooms before and its nice
  19. Thank you so much for the tip on re-bids. I never thought of that. Throughout the week I tried 55, 60, 65 & 70 before my bid was accepted. Thankfully most areas in Portland are three star or less so i get multiple tries now. I tried up to $80 for 4 star before i gave up. I've been meaning to give this hotel a try for a while now.
  20. Not the best deal but less then the regular rate of $119. I use the PRICELINE link
  21. I wish i had waited a few days to book for the last trip. I love the Nines. I usually book directly with them but ever since they have their 5th star i cant afford it anymore :)
  22. I was hoping to get Hotel Lucia again as someone bid the same price for this weekend but I guess not this time.
  23. I'm not sure why but when i checked out they comped my wireless access charge. Very nice place however like it mentions on other travel review sites that the rooms are every small (similar to 200sq feet NYC size)but the bed was extremely comfortable
  24. I got it on my first bid. Used the PRICELINE link on the site here. Hotels.com wants $135 a night before their current 10% off promo
