  1. Hi Guys, just booked this 4* Hotel for 3 nights, $80 per night. Tried at 70 rejected -> offer to bid again for at least $85 TRied rebidding at 75 -> offer to bid again for at least $90 Successful rebid at $80. Hope this will be a good one and the rooftop pool area will be opened. Can anyone hepl me with parking tips. We make an eastcoast roundtripo and will have a rental car. Parking at hotel acc. to tripadvisor by $50, parking at union station supposed to cost much less..do you have a hint where we can park for reasonable price? Thank you so much! Greeting s from good old germany, esp. to AaronJB!!
  2. Hi Liz, thanks for your information. We booked this hotel over priceline for the 21 - 23 of aug. I asked the hotline from the w new york whether an upgrade would be possible. they wrote that i would have to ask on arrival. So we'll give it a try;) Did you like the hotel overall? Anything else to recommend, regarding the hotel and it`sn surrounding? Thank you so much. Greeting from Germany
  3. yes, it is possible. but since we'll make a roundtrip and we can do some sightseeing on our way + we are more flexible + there would be an extra one way charge we take the car. Parking for $10 in the outskirts doesn't sound bad, does it? Thanks for your response.
  4. Thank you!! Well, i will have to have one, because we are doing a roundtrip coming from nyc... -> how to get to boston from new york without a car and avoid the one way charge? (if i rented the car after our boston visit in boston, then we would have to pay extra fee, since we have to go back to new york again and return the car there..) Wow! Thank you. That sounds really good. Would have never known.. For 3 days: Does it make sense to buy a special ticket for the official transport (normally i can reach everything by walk from the taj, can't i?) want to make the duck tours - station is closed to the sheraton i think. But for that we could take a taxi? Another question: we'd really like to see harvard and maybe the MIT? Is there something you can recommend? (something special going on in Boston on Aug. 24. or 25.?) I read about the summer cruises by boat but I'm not sure whether it's good..don't want to run in any "tourist traps" Just saw that it is $10 per day (only mbtas pay $5) but that should still be a good price. Many Greetz!
  5. Hi Guys, after various rebiddings -even after having been ordered by priceline system to raise bid by $30 from $150 to $180. Shut down browser and tried again by selecting again my favorites (Copley and Aquarium) and adding a lower quality zone. Made deal at $175. Hope this is a good one. Greeting from Germany, espesially to AaronJB!! :) P.S. Can someone tell me where to park at a reasonable price in Boston? Probably it would be best to park the car in the outskirts (where??) and get back in the city by train/metro/bus.In the city no need for car, isn't it?!
  6. Thanks Aaron. Alright, then I'm happy with the W. I'll post how it was. Will try to find something in Boston and surely post the result in the Massachusetts area! Thank you so much for your advice!
  7. Thanks AaronJB you for your answer! (even though you have to say that this was good deal, haven't you?:)) You must know that this is my first time in NYC and my first bid on priceline.com!! But this is a great forum, thanks for all the helpful hints. Since we're planning an east coast tour, i'll be looking in boston perhaps. yesterday i was rejected at $160 for 4* in the waterfront area..so prices obviously have risen.. Do you have a recommendation about parking in Boston? Have absolutely no idea how wo deal with that for a reasonable price... Yes, can confirm the price: it is $ 150 per night before fees and taxes.
  8. Hi experts, i'm a newbie on this forum. read a lot and just made the following deal on PRICELINE: W New York Hotel 2 nights, $183 per night including all taxes and fees. Regular price at $ 250. What do you think of the hotel and the price? Some write that the rooms are pretty small...a reason to be disappointed? :) Thanks for your answer and greetings from Germany!
