Priceline Express was showing $75 for 3*. I often win bids about 10% less tha PRICELINE EXPRESS deal, so started at $65 and won on first bid.
Got a little burned by this one. Was spending time in midtown, with two cars, and wanted something reasonably close with free parking. The Druid Hills zone looked like the best option. BB showed most of the hotels near I-85, about 6-7 miles from midtown. Had been eyeing a Priceline Express for $79 that was most likely the Doubletree. Could have had a 4* downtown for under $70, but parking would have added $100 for my stay. Figured I would try Druid Hills bidding about 10% less and see what happens, with Atlanta having several zones without 3* for rebidding. Bid $71, and immediately got this hotel. It's nowhere near a highway, about 20 minutes from midtown, and they charge for parking. That's the breaks with Priceline. First time I got burned with an undesirable choice.
The hotel itself was outstanding, though. Worthy of 3.5 or even 4 stars. If visiting Decatur or Emory University, this is an excellent place to stay.
Expected this hotel. Priceline Express was showing $63, so I bid about 10% less ($56) as I often do. Bid was rejected, waited and rebid $58 for the win. Hotel was a perfectly fine bed for the night.
Just noticed some curious pricing. Did a search for two adults as usual. Then changed the search to 3 adults. The price for what looks like the same hotel dropped by $1. I thought it might be a coincidental price change at that very moment, so I repeated the searches. Same result. Any idea why 3 adults cost less than 2?

Again, BB hotel list shows no 3.5* hotels in that area. Any idea which this might be? I see on regular (not blind) search that the Doubletree is shown as 3.5*. Could Doubletree have been upgraded to 3.5*?
My search for 8/11 to 8/14 shows a 3.5* with parking, internet, fitness, pool, restaurant, business, laundry. The hotel list for the area does not show any 3.5* hotels. Any idea what hotel this might be?
Was listed under PRICELINE EXPRESS for $72. The express deals are usually available through bidding for about 10% less. There are 10 zones in Richmond area that don't have any 4* hotels, so plenty of re-bid attempts. Saw this hotel had been purchased for $57-64 recently, so I started at $55. Added $2 through $61, then $1 increments until winning at $64. This is a beautiful hotel, priced like most of the 2.5* and 3* in the area. It's a resort conference center on a golf course, colonial style buildings, very much 4* quality.
There was a 3* PRICELINE EXPRESS (guest favorite) listing for $107. Another 3* Express (guest favorite) listing in Oxmoor-Homewood for $84. Either region would be ok. I figured it would be a Hyatt Place or Courtyard, either of which would be fine. Meanwhile, there was a 2.5* Express listing for $49. Figured I would start bidding at $52 for the 3*, then add zones to rebid (there are 3 zones without 3* hotels). First bid accepted. This could very will be half the price of the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal on the same hotel. Regardless, $52 for this Courtyard is a good deal. Regular price on all websites is $124. No free breakfast, but not necessary. In the South, I would rather go out for a good Southern breakfast.
According to BB, this is the only Priceline 2.5 star in Knoxville North. Showing as express deal for $56, figured this was the likely hotel. Good reviews on Priceline and Tripadvisor, and it's a Priceline Guest Favorite (which I have been pleased with before), so I went for it. Bid $48 and won. Sure enough, this is the hotel. Maybe could have won with a buck or two less, but $48 for a decent hotel is ok.

Bought thru Priceline Express. Had been scouting prices and bids, and had just bought a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal in a different city the day before. Before I could pull the trigger, I got an email from Priceline offering a 24 hour sale, extra 10% off any Express Deal. Perfect timing. Now I have this very highly reviewed, Tripadvisor and Priceline customer favorite, in downtown New Orleans, for just $55 per night. Will probably cost me more than that just to park. If the hotel lives up to its reviews, I will be thrilled with this deal.
Got thru Priceline Express. Saw hidden price of $53. Tried to bid $46, was denied and asked to add $7 to my bid. I declined and just went and bought the express deal. Priceline said it was a customer favorite, so what the heck. Turns out to be a very nice hotel (impressive for a Holiday Inn), at excellent price. Huge room, very clean, nice lobby, 15 mins from downtown. They even gave us vouchers for breakfast (not included) at check in after hearing of our rough travel day. Very pleased with this win/buy.
Bid $40 for Inverness, denied. Added Hoover and went to $42, accepted. Was hoping for Hyatt Place, but Courtyard's are usually decent.
Bids of $90 and $95 rejected. $100 accepted. Used the PRICELINE link. Priced at $199 on the usual travel sites, so this is a very good deal.
First bid $42, then added Baltimore East and bid $44. Finally added Baltimore Stadiums and bid $49, accepted.

Amenities shown were fitness and internet. However, like most (or all?) Holiday Inn Express properties, breakfast is also included.
Booked through the HOTWIRE link, of course. Best rate anywhere else was $110.
The Radisson is the most common 3* in this zone on both Hotwire and Priceline. It has been showing as $93 on most travel sites, and $63 on Hotwire (based on amenities). Using the PRICELINE link, my $43 bid received an instant counteroffer of $53. I started a new session and bid $49. They rejected it as a duplicate bid. So, I added Victor as a zone (free rebid, no 3*s there) and upped it to $50. Accepted.
Using the PRICELINE link, first bid of $140 was accepted. Probably should have opened lower, but I have been trying for days around that same number with no luck. The regular Priceline page shows $289 for this hotel, other sites show $309, so I guess it's a good deal. I must have two beds, so I couldn't chance bidding on one room only.
Using the PRICELINE link, first bid of $54 (2 rooms) accepted at Holiday Inn Allentown I-78 (Lehigh Valley). No free breakfast, but at this price I can buy my own McMuffin down the road.

What appeared to be this hotel was listed on HOTWIRE for $75 and PRICELINE EXPRESS for $74. Wasn't sure if I would get Sheraton or Hilton instead, but either would be fine. With over 20 rebid zones without 4* in Atlanta, it's easy to start out bidding low and end up less than the Express price.
