  1. My friends decided to add MTE to their zones and immediatly won the 3.5* Hilton Manhattan East for 175$/night! They are very satisfied with the outcome! THANK you very much!
  2. Ok thank you! Yes they would be interested in this hotel, but they still want to try on priceline at least till the end of the month, as they think that it should be possible to get a cheaper hotel for 200 $ on priceline! They'll use this Hotwire Hotel as a backup hotel and hope that the price stays the same!
  3. We have now bid up to 200 $ for ESB, MSG, MTW and TS, unfortunately with no success! Should we continue bidding 200 $ for a few days/weeks or do we need to raise the price? Thanks
  4. Ok thank you we will try ESB, MSG, MTW, and TS and if we don't find something we'll later also add Downtown. So what would be the best strategy? Thanks!
  5. Our goal is probably the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay. We would like to spend no more than 200 $, though our absolut limit is around 220 $ per room/night and our desired price would be around 180 $, but I don't know if this is possible for this date!
  6. We have no clear cut budget, as we have already booked our flights we therefore need the two rooms for this date! I guess 200 $ would be okay though the cheaper the better! Is there a possibility that it gets less expensive if we wait or should we start bidding now? And which area in NYC has the best success for winning our bid? Thanks!
  7. The amenities shown were Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), High-speed Internet Access, Kitchenette!
  8. Sorry for not replying in those two previous topics, I corrected it now it wasn't on purpose as I always showed my results before! THANKS!
  9. Again sorry for replying so late. For this booking I decided to wait longer than usual as I had a backup Hotel which wasn't that much more expensive than my desired price! This turned out great, my winning bid was in late October 60 $ Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre! Nice hotel, great stay! Thanks!
  10. Sorry for replying so late completely forgot about this after I had my hotel. I settled for the HOTWIRE 3* Hotel turned out to be Embassy Suites Center City everything was fine thanks!
  11. We're 4 persons and need 2 rooms at the same hotel in NYC from the 8th November to 16th November! We would like to stay at a 3.5* to 4* Hotel! We would also like a central location, I think we would take everything from Midtown West to the Downtown - Financial District area! If there are nice 3* Hotels in these areas we would also consider them! What price should we expect for this date and what's the best bidding strategy? THANKS!!!
  12. Thank you very much for your advice! We bid on priceline, 12/12 - 12/15 3.5* MTE 110 $ was our first attempt --> ACCEPTED at the Roosevelt Hotel! We are so glad with the outcome, we never thought that it was possible getting a 3.5* hotel in Manhatten for that Price :)
  13. Btw then we head back to Europe from JFK.
  14. Yes splitting would be an option! I already tried Downtown - Soho - Financial District, Midtown West, Midtown East, Empire State Building Area, Times Square and Chelsea Area! We'll come from Chicago and will arrive at LaGuardia Airport.
  15. Me and my girlfriend will visit New York 12/11-12/15. It's our first time in New York. We will do the usual sightseeing and shopping. We'd love to stay in Manhatten, but our budget for that is probably to low. Max budget would be 130 $ per night, 2 1/2* and above! I think we'd also consider 2* if it's a nice and clean hotel! Also we'd like a private bath, but it's not a must. Already tried 130 $ for most downtown areas with Priceline! Now that we don't think we'll find a hotel in Manhatten for that price, we started looking for options outside Manhatten. We're now considering Long Island City, Jersey City, Secaucus - North Bergen. Which area of those 3 would be the best option considering the hotels, public transportation, easy acces to the Manhatten, safe area (meaning that we can walk around at night). Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
  16. I'm looking for a Indianapolis Downtown Hotel 12/4-12/6. My planned buget is about 60 $ per night. But I already bid 70 $ and still got rejected. My suspicion now is that I should wait till we get closer to arrival date! I know past prices are no indication for the future due to the different date, but most people on this forum got a price under 60 $ many even under 50 $! Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
  17. I need help with my bidding for a Philadelphia Downtown Hotel 11/30-12/2. I'm searching for 3* and up! Originally planned to spend about 60 $ max! I saw at Hotwire that the cheapest Center City hotels are going for 76 $ to 90 $. My first bid was 60 $ ---> rejected Second bid 69 $ ---> rejected, but received the message that I'd receive another bid if'd go up to 84 $ Didn't go up because I can get a 3* hotel at Hotwire for 76 $. My question now, is there a chance that I can get a hotel for my favored 60 $ and am I booking to far in advance, should I try some weeks for 60 $? Thanks!
  18. I'm new to this PRICELINE and HOTWIRE stuff, my first try for a Boston Downtown Hotel was 70 $. Got the message that I'd get another try if I bid 85 $ and above. Did it and got the Park Plaza Hotel. I'm very satisfied with the outcome!
