  1. When I checked in, I let them know that I was a Marriott Platinum member they upgraded my room to a harbor view, corner view, and on the 30th floor. Amazing views. I didnt get all of the normal perqs because it was a "nonqualifying" stay but they did give me a $10 food/drink credit. I was very satisfied with how they trested us.
  2. Bidding history: $65 Baltimore Inner Harbor 4* $70 added University area $75 added Owings Mills area $80 added Baltimore Stadiums area $85 added Mount Vernon area Taxes and fees: $22 As a Platinum Marriott member, I could get a room for $169 - so this is a very good price!
  3. I started at $92 and went up by $2 per bid. Total taxes for stay for 3 nights was $69.63, for total charges of $357.63. I checked online and this was a good savings from any posted prices.
  4. This was too easy! I printed the map, figured out where all the resorts were so that I could bid up, and put in my first very low bid. It won! I used the PRICELINE link from this website. 7/9/2011 to 7/11/2011 Scottsdale Resort and Conference Center Resort rating Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $60.00 Subtotal: $120.00 Taxes & Fees: $25.66 Total Charges*: $145.66
  5. I decided to go as high as $180 per night and got the Sofitel hotel in Midtown West. And I used the PRICELINE link at the top of your page. Thanks for the helpful website! JoAn
  6. My last bid was for Upper West Side, Upper East Side, Midtown West, Midtown East, Chelsea Area, Times Square - Theatre District, Madison Square Garden - Convention Area, Empire State Building Area, Central Park South for $170. The "Calendar of Wins" shows several successful bids of $140 for these zones on these days. Could they have bid long ago? Would I be better off waiting for any last-minute openings? Will the prices fall a week before? A few days before? JoAn
  7. I'm looking for a 4* hotel in midtown for August 20-22. I've reviewed the "Calendar of Wins" for the dates and see that several people got rooms for $130. So I started my bids there, and went up $5 by adding different neighborhoWhaods. I stopped at $170 because I still wasn't getting a room. What am I doing wrong? It's been more than 24 hours so I can bid again, but am not sure whether to start at $175 or something lower. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. JoAn
