I started out at $46 for a 2.5* since my previous bids got rejected all the way up to $42--got accepted first time around..

First bid was for $27, rejected so I rebid for $30

I decided to give PL one more try, since splitting the nights seems more inconvenient than raising my bid. Here are the results, we were hoping to get one of the 2.5* hotels that includes breakfast but overall this was a pretty good deal - website rate was $119 for same nights and the cheapest price on the web I found was $89 Hilton Arlington - Dallas (Arlington-Grand Prairie) bid 2.5* - got upgraded to 3* $46 2 rooms, 3 nights 7/6 - 7/9

The 2* with Breakfast and Pool in Grand Prairie showed up for dates 7/6-7/8

Actually I've found that very tactic might make hotwire my preferred choice this time. When I was searching HW for all 3 nights I couldn't find anything in Grand Prairie in my price range (really like to stay under $45 w/out taxes). So I searched HW for Wed-Thur only and there were a lot more choices in Grand Prairie, I'm particularly interested in the 2* with free breakfast and a pool for $37. I'm a little nervous about this because there is no history as to what hotel chain this could be, but I am okay with LaQuinta, Comfort Inn, or Microtel so I think it may be one of those. -- Any ideas?? When I search for Friday night only I was back to the original HW choices so we've decided that we're okay with switching hotels for the last night, hey we're flexible that's why we use these websites. HW was my first choice anyway as I need 2 rooms for 4 adults and 2 children (so 2 beds is preferred), but I was willing to risk it on PL for the right price (kids can always bring a sleeping bag!) Thanks for the advice, anything else you have to offer will be valued. I'll post my info on the appropriate site and use the link to make the purchase!!

Here's what I've done so far, any advice you can offer would be great!! Bid #1 Arlington 2.5* $36 REJECTED Bid #2 Added South Arlington, raised price to $39 REJECTED Bid #3 Added Fort Worth NE, raised price to $42 REJECTED I'm trying to get at least a 2.5* as close to Six Flags as possible!!

I actually purchased this hotel last week (Wednesday the 2nd, I believe) but I just found your website and I am thrilled with all of your information. I've been using PL and HW for many years and I love reading about the great deals everyone is getting. I was unhappy with the zoning that PL uses for the Mall of America area in MN so decided to go with Hotwire for the purchase. The hotel is only 7 miles from the Mall and it has a free shuttle to and from, and since it is in Eagan it was pretty easy for me to match up amenities and figure out which hotel I was getting. Here are the amenities: Suite Airport Shuttle (also goes to area attractions) Complimentary Breakfast Pool Fitness Center Kitchenette High Speed Internet (according to the hotel website this is FREE) Business Center Laundry Facility Has anyone stayed at this hotel before, how was it??
