  1. Hi AaronJB, Thanks for your quick response. I have ruled out the Renaissance because they do not accept pets. I'm just concerned that it could be the the Westin which is away from where we want to stay. Neither the Westin nor the Hyatt say Boutique anywhere on their websites.
  2. I think this is the Hyatt at the Arcade but the Boutique hotel description is throwing me off. Your thoughts. Thanks, Norm 4* Downtown Cleveland Check -in October 7th check- out Oct 9th Hotwire $147 p/n FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower
  3. I have been trying, for the past week, to get a room in Somerville. I have been placing bids on Price.line, through Betterbidding, of course, but can't seem to get anything. I have been trying for a 3 star hotel, which I'm sure is the Holiday Inn in Somerville. I started last week at $78.00 and have gone to $110. I used the different locations so I could raise my bids immediately but no luck. Is there something going on in the Boston area the week of 3/3/15 to 3/7/15? Every time i check the regular rates the prices seem to be increasing. Thanks of any help. Norm
  4. As a long time Chicago area resident I would recommend booking something near O'Hare airport. The pricing will be better than the Loop or River North but the transportation options will be better than near Midway. I also think you will not be happy with the area surrounding Midway Airport. Evanston, which was recommended previously, is also an excellent option. Check out the Lincolon Park area of the city. A new hotel opened there in the last month or so and has gotten good reviews. Not sure about the pricing though. It is easily accessible to the Downtown area.
  5. Have been bidding for a 4* for several days with no luck. Dropped down to a 3.5* star and got this immediately. On most sites these dates are $199 per/nite.
  6. 1st bid got hit. Hotel web site shows $299.00 for same dates. Used BB link to PRICELINE.
  7. Started bidding yesterday @ $70.00. Used 5 zones up to $79.00. No Luck. Today Started @ $85.00 added 2nd zone and got hit @ $89.00
  8. My wife and I made a cancelable reservation at the Raffaello several weeks ago for the nights of Sept. 3rd and 4th. We thought we would then try PL and Hotwire to see if we could beat the price we got. Could not beat the price. I also called the hotel to see if I could get a better rate as the time got closer. It turns out that the hotel is practically sold out and the rates have jumped $80 from what we are paying. Looks like this is a very busy weekend in Chicago.
  9. AaronJB I live in Chicago and grew up around the University of Chicago. It is no where near UIC. It is located in Hyde Park about 30 minute from Downtown. Getting there is fairly easy. The Illinois Central train runs from Randolph and Michigan Ave practically to the campus. Another option is renting a car for the day since not knowing your way around the city by public transportation can get a little scary if you get on the wrong train and end up in the wrong neighborhood. Car rentals are fairly inexpensive for daily rentals. Chicago is a grid city so driving around is pretty simple.
  10. Could someone please explain why I am looking at a post that is dated March of 2010 when today is July 28th 2010. How did this get in for today?
