With respect to the pop-up notices "The last person got [name of hotel]" - How accurate is this? It seems that this might be based on star rating and area across all dates. Please confirm. I believe this is the case because the hotel it suggested wasn't the one that matched up to the amenities provided.
If I can snag the Buena Vista Palace, then I would be on the property and can take the shuttle.
Not sure if I want to be on this property,
Thanks for the great info. Since I am deciding to ditch getting a car (unnecessary expense) - would like to get as close to Disney as possible.

It looks like the best deals are available as the dates get nearer and hotels identify the amount of stock left over they wish to offload. I experimented by entering in reservations for next week vs. my scheduled dates and saw a significant difference in price for some, and additional options available that I didnt see for my dates. What I will do is place a cancellable backup reservation right now and keep checking whats on Hotwire. If anyone sees anything - please let me know.
I'm flexibile. I used to have a rule that I take 4 Star and higher because I one time ended up in a not so good non-brand hotel a long while back. However, I'm willing to take 3 star and up. Also flexibile on a budget - I like to be sub $100. Again, best value.
That win was probably just outside the 4+ years.
Changed plans -- I didn't go to Philly.
I am looking for a decent hotel, BEST VALUE, in Orlando for 12/31 thru 1/7. The last time I won a hotel there it was the Rosen Shingle Creek for $68. It was great, but now I'm looking for an even better value (I had to pay for parking last time around, dont like that).
Will be headed to the local theme parks -- any suggestions??? I'm getting dizzy!
Based on my research, I'm quite certain now that this is the Sofitel.
Does anyone know whether they would be less willing to offer a late checkout to me if booked through HOTWIRE?

I was a ding-dong and did not pay attention to all the amenities (I thought I was getting the Westin based on the other reviews). Anyway, not bad.
(Westin doesn't have a Pool).
I used the link.
Shoot, looks like I might have missed out. It's currently only showing a whole different 5* hotel. Guess I'll keep checking
I'm trying to grab the W hotel as well for June 16-19. Not showing yet. Any guess within what range it will start showing up??
Given that the hotel is 400 EURO a night, this is a phenomenal deal.
Thx!
Edit: Actually, I see it now - its advertising at $319 per Night. Will it drop?!?

Note: If it says, when you select the book "Note: This hotel charges a $15/Night Hotel Resort Fee" you can have increased confidence this is the hotel. I'm not sure if there are any others in the area that classify themselves as a resort. (I'll report back with regards to actual charge and whether they collect it).
I booked a Lake George Hotel where the Amenities was just breakfast, 2 1/2 Star and the reviews were non existent at the time for $129 July 4th weekend. That was the Lynn Aire Motel. It was a disaster!! Breakfast was terrible. It should've been a 1 star place, I was jipped. Travel Lodge is better.
For Lake George, I don't see real good deals on Hotwire. I would book directly at a known place through Hotels.com, etc.

Found that this property has a shuttle to Disney saving me the expense of a car, is quite nice and highly rated. Near Disney. Pulled the trigger. Used the HOTWIRE links.
