  1. Outside Manhattan is good, as long as there's a metro line close by the hotel. Last time I was in NY we stayed at The Box House in Brooklyn, parking was on the street, and the hotel was not far from metro line (just crossing a bridge) by foot.

We are 2 families, 2 adults each, so the price will be by room/family. We are aiming to not go over 180USD, and we just want a hotel with good reviews. Of course, if we could get a reasonable parking cost for 4 days elsewhere, near the hotel, that will good too. We will not use the car at all during  these 4 days.

  2. Thank you for the info on Priceline. What about the Priceline.Express where it says 'Bed choice available'? Maybe we can find something with double queen beds, otherwise will stick with Hot.wire.

To have all three amenities is not a must, more importantly is to stay in a good zone near a subway station. We are not picky with the breakfast neither, we can get a bagel and a good coffee on our way.

There's a 3* hotel  on Hot.wire in Greenpoint - Williamsburg area at $201 with the following amenities:

    Free Parking

    Free Internet

    Boutique Hotel

    Smoke Free Rooms

    Fitness Center

    Business Center

    Self service laundry

    Internet access

    Accessible for the blind

    Accessible path of travel

I don't find this area on the Hotwire Hotel List - New York to check if there's any hotel matching these amenities.

There's also a 2.5* hotel in the same area at $151, with the following:

    Free Parking;Free Breakfast;Free Internet;Business Center;Self service laundry;Internet access;Accessible for the deaf;Accessible path of travel;In-room accessibility;Accessible bathroom;Handicapped parking

    Thanks again for your help,

  3. I can't find the hotel in Hotwire Easy View , but is still in the list on the Hotwire page (at $180).  It seems that the hotel is a little bit far from a metro station.

We are also looking at hotels in Long Island City area, and looking at the map there are many metro stations around. We will try first Priceline to bid for this area.

It's the first time in NY and we don't know exactly what to choose, but the options are limited for us if we want to have all three amenities: free parking, free breakfast and free wi-fi.

Another option is to look for a hotel in Hell's Kitchen, having only free breakfast and free wifi (as found in 2.5 star moderate plus), and pay for the parking at the hotel,

I see that the median price is $231, do you know what could be a winning bid and what hotel we could get?

    Thanks
