Does anyone have an idea what this hotel can be? it seems to be a new listing, this is the amenities.. and no ratings either?
It is $178/night for June 29-July 1st
Amenities:
Free Parking, Free Internet, Accessible path of travel, Handicapped parking
I don't necessarily want to pay up to $199 - but at the same time the advantage is I might have a better idea as to what hotel I would win if I am going to pay that much money.
It seems like prices are quite high this time of year, and its our honeymoon so I want to make sure we end up somewhere nice.
There is this hotel listed in the PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal Section.
It is $199 for Waikiki Beach, RESORT level (June 20-26th) rated as 8.0 or higher and has the following amenities... I am thinking its the Outrigger??
Free Internet
Indoor or Outdoor Pool
Restaurant
Business Center
Fitness Center
Condo
Thanks in advance!! The mention of a "condo" is what is confusing me.
Thanks, i clicked on the links but am unable to bid yet(not 25 hours since last bid).
Just looking for some guidance for June timeframe bidding..
I have been trying to win a Resort or 4* hotel in the Waikiki Beach area for over a week now and have gone up to $160 a night (adding zones, airport, etc. as applicable).
Am I better to wait closer to the date to get better prices as I have had no luck so far and I realize that this is the start of summer, but based on past bids for last year $160 seems reasonable - also they have one of the Resort level hotels for $199 on priceline (no bidding needed).
I havent seen any success yet for June - any help would be appreciated.
Hi there - I would be interested as well since I am travelling at the end of October to Maui and many of the prices seem high when looking at Hotwire as well. I have tried bidding up to $132/night (October 26th-November 1st) with no success. That is only at the resort level with adding all zones.
Thanks for your help.
I tried my first bid at $23/day - rejected
I used the PRICELINE link listed above.. I will update on my progress (and hopefully success) shortly
I was able to find a deal through Enterprise for $341/week (with all taxes, etc) for a Jeep - which is ok - but still ALOT higher than my budget allows.
Sorry - I have not yet tried bidding as I have 2 months before I leave... but I would like to start at a realistic amount - I know its hard to predict what the winning bid is. I just wasn't able to find too many other winning priceline bids to get an idea of what to expect...
Cheapest I have seen is around $400/week with taxes for the convertible rental... so around $42-45/day
I would like to rent a convertible for 6 days in Maui in late October 26th - November 1st, so just over 6 days.. What is a realistic price to bid/win on priceline? I have searched the site and found limited wins listed but those I have seen are around the mid $30's... I was hoping that being its late october and off season we might have more luck getting it for closer to 25 as we are on a tight budget..
any help is appreciated!
I would be curious to see what price you end up getting as well since I would like to rent a convertible for my trip to Maui from October 26-November 1st. I have not started bidding yet but I woud like to pay no more than $30/day for the convertible...
Thanks for your help, sorry I did mean 3.5* in the Lahaina-Kaanapali area. I think I will try that strategy.
What about the Wailea area? I know it is a bit farther out of the way but would the chances of winning a resort for $120 be a bit more feasible?
Hi there, I am looking to bid 6 nights in Mau from October 26 - November 1st. I would prefer to book a resort hotel, but b/c of the added "resort fee" I would like to keep my bid at a maximum of $110. I have the entertainment $10 bonus dollars - so that would mean a maximum bid of $120.00 and even that with taxes and resort fee puts me slightly over my "budget". ($130/night with taxes)
Is it realistic to think I could get a hotel in the Lahaina-Kaanapali area for around $110/night??? I have looked at the history of winning bids and the lowest i have seen was last November for around $114.00 with most of the winning bids being around $150+.
And if I was to modify my strategy and try for the 3* resort in the same area (which I believe is for the Royal Lahaina?) would a maximum of $90 be a good target price?
Any help is appreciated!!!
I tried my first bid at $90 for resorts in Waikiki beach and was unsuccesful which was to be expected...
Hi there,
I have read through many, many of the posts and founds some great information. I am looking to book 6 nights in the Waikiki beach area from October 20-26.I noticed in the calendar of wins there really aren't many "wins" for that time of year so I am unsure as to what price to start bidding?? I am REALLY hoping to get a 4*/resort hotel for around $120 (not sure if thats realistic given the time of year?)
So when I do bid I first pick the "waikiki area"
then when/if i get rejected I choose zones such as the airport that do not have a "resort" hotel is that correct?
Would you suggest starting at under $100? I noticed the Mariott Waikiki went for around $99 in November which would be an ideal price!
Any help would be appreciated!
