  1. With the help of betterbidding, identified this on Hotwire for $79 a night and decided to try to win the booking on Priceline using the links provided of course. Started out at $63 and increased it by $2 until it was accepted for $67 for the night. I booked 3 rooms with this booking. From looking at the address, looks like we will be staying at the Beach Resort portion of the Westin. Westin Diplomat Resort And Spa 3555 South Ocean Drive Hollywood, FL 33019 954-602-6000
  2. Hello, I need help identifying a 4* Hollywood Beach area hotel for one night 10/2-10/3 $79 with the following amenities: - Bed Choice - Resort - Boutique Hotel - Fitness Center - Pool(s) - Restaurant(s) - High-Speed Internet Access - Golf Nearby - Tennis Nearby - Spa Services Recommended in 95 % of Hotwire customer reviews I saw a posting before about possibility of the Diplomat Resort & Spa and would love it if it was that. Please help! Thanks!
  3. Okay, took a while but I got $185 a night with PRICELINE for the Westin. Thank you for all your assistance.
  4. I see what you mean. So basically by looking at the list, I would just need to increase my price every 24 hours until I find the bottom price for the Resorts category?
  5. Do you have any suggestions for a bidding strategy to get a 3.5*, 4* or resorts for PL in Aruba during the dates of 2/4-2/7? You have already mentioned that the Westin is probably the one that is showing up on Hotwire for $219 a night so I'd like to do better than that for something comparable or equal. Any advice is much appreciated. I have already tried bidding as low as $110 a night for Resort, 3.5* and 4* with no luck.
  6. $219 seems about right although I'm trying to get the best deal out there for the best value. Willing to spend more and definitely less if its better than what is out there for retail. If there's a proven strategy that can get me a better price on Priceline, I'm willing to do that as well. OKay, so it does show the following at $216. Resort Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Spa Services Thanks!
  7. Could you please help me identify the hotel on Hotwire for Aruba 4* from 2/4-2/7 with the followin amenities? Resort Beach Casino Fitness Center Pool Restaurants Business Center Laundry Center Thanks!
  8. It doesn't look these worked for us. Our budget was around $150. I tried all the way up to $130 since with taxes it would make near 160. We might go ahead and crash with friends. Thanks for all your help with the bidding strategy.
  9. Any zone in Manhattan would be fine for us since we're just staying one night but I would prefer MTE, MTW, or UM/CPS but willing to go to Downtown-SoHo-Financial District or UES, UWS. Thanks!
  10. I decided not to go with either Hotwire or Priceline because my wife and I decided we wanted to get a Corner Suite at the Grand Hyatt we just ended up booking at www.hyatt.com for the going rate. thanks for your help.
  11. I'm looking for bidding strategy for one night in NYC 9/3/05-9/4/05. Preferably around Times Square but willing to go further down Manhattan or Upper East or Upper West, if the price is right. I'm looking to spend around $150 and hope to get a 4* but willing to go down to 3*. Thanks!
  12. Anyone know which hotel this might be for 7/2/05-7/3/05? 4* in Downtown - Pike Place The amenities are restaurant, pool, fitness center and business center. Thanks! I think the 4.5* for the same date is the Hotel Alexis. If it's not, if someone can give me that info, that would be great.
  13. Hello, Well I got the bid that I wanted! Thanks so much. 72 hours after my failed bid, I logged into Hotwire and noticed that 7/10-7/15 was at $229. I went to Priceline and tried $175 intially. That was rejected. I then tried $200 and won the bid. I guess I shouldn't have increased it so much but I'm pretty happy with that I got it for $200. Thanks for all your help!
  14. I just put in 6/10-6/15 and that came up as $229. 7/10-7/15 has come up with $312 for the past couple of days which is the dates I need so maybe the June dates is what you might have saw as $229. With Hotwire showing $312, I tried $175 this afternoon and that bid got rejected. In 72 hours, I'll try and increase it by $5 and see what I come up with. Thanks!
  15. Do you mean the Hotwire price of $312 is based on the $449 rate on westin.com? Should I begin at $250 then and then incrementally increase from there?
  16. If you can help me with a bidding strategy for the Westin for dates July 5-10th, that would be great. Do you see other resorts within St. Thomas and St. John that might be comparable with better rates?
  17. Yeah, If you think that the 11th and 12th will not opening up, we're willing to stay at another place. Do you know what the all-inclusive resort that shows up on Hotwire for $384 on St. Thomas is? Not really sure if we have a maximum bid, just want to get the best price. We're pretty committed on staying in the USVI for those dates. I know I should have booked this a long time ago. Oh well, can't look back now.
  18. Hi thereuare, I think I've sat on this long enough and we're set on going to the Westin St. John checking in 7/5 and checking out 7/12. Could you help me out with a bidding strategy? :) Thanks!
  19. I believe that the Westin St. John Resort is the only place offered on Priceline for St. John, USVI, right? I would definitely would like a bidding strategy but I'm definitely not ready at this point to pull the trigger. Do you think there's an advantage to bidding now or later? Thanks again for all your help, this site and the admins rock!
  20. Wow, they must have added the dates back. I agree that Expedia is not a good resource, but just passed on what that site was saying as a comparison to explain maybe why Hotwire wasn't showing it. Do you think that I could do better than $237 on Priceline? Thanks!
  21. Hi, this is my first post. I'm just wanting get your help on figuring out what the best thing to do. I'm planning my honeymoon at the Westin St. John, USVI from July 5-12th. Earliar in the year, I noticed it was on Hotwire for $245 a night. That offer is no longer there. When I try to do Expedia, I notice that the $290 price is not available on the weekend nights. Is that an indication that there's a conference or something going on during the weekend? I read that the summer months are considered the off-season at the USVI. Any idea what a realistic bid for 7 nights if I went with Priceline? Any help or guidance would be much appreciated.
