  1. This is my friends corporate discount. I don't know if she can get a similar rate at all Hilton brands. She gave me a specific hotel she liked in Midtown as listed below. Hilton NY - $259 Hilton Times Square - $246 Hilton Garden Inn - $245 She doesn't arrive until June 2nd so that may be a problem. I am trying to decide if I should break into two hotel stays, bidding on PRICELINE on the 1st part of this stay, and HOTWIRE for the 2nd. Do you have any suggestions on bidding, etc? I, of course would love to get a hotel for less than $200 on both parts of the stay.
  2. I have provided followup on both of this trips. Sorry for the delay. You get busy traveling... Anyway you can provide me with assistance on my request now? Thanks.
  3. I got the Holiday Inn Rochester Airport for $60.00 a night. (I think the top rated was 3 star) It was okay for the price!
  4. I got a hotel on HOTWIRE. Sheraton seattle Hotel and Towers for $132.00 a night. It was a very nice hotel, very centrally located!
  5. Date:I will be traveling to New York City May 30th - June 6th. (Party of 2). I have 2 more friends that will be arriving on June 2-5. (We were hoping to put all 4 in the same room and I notice that hotwire was suggested for more than 2). Location:We will be wanting to stay in Midtown West Times Square (MTW?) or Midtown East Grand Central (MTE?) Price: One of my companions gets a corporate rate at the Hiltons for about $250 so we are trying to beat that price. I was thinking of splitting the stays up so as to get a better rate May 30th-June 1st. $150-200. Can we get a better rate on Hotwire (I can go to that forum if needed) for the 4 of us June 2-5 around $200? Stars:We only wanted a 4* because we've heard the hotels can be dicy in NYC. Thanks for your help.
  6. I am just starting to search for a hotel for when I take my daughter to move in to Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York 8/31/-9/2. I believe the airport area is the closest to the college. I've read some of the hotwire reviews for a 3 star hotel (no 4 star in the airport area) and it varies widely on the quality of a 3 star from the reviews. I will have a rent car so free parking will be important. The doubletree is rated well and says it has free parking. Will that be the best way to identify it as one of the better 3 star hotels? Would you suggest staying a little further away in downtown to get a 4 star? I've never been to Rochester so have no idea how congested downtown could be,how safe it is at night or how far. Should I just stick with a 3 star near the airport? Anyone have any favorites near the airport to try to achieve? Thanks for any help.
  7. First time I have used hotwire and this forum. How do you id an hotel? Where are you looking to figure this out? I am going to Seattle Washington arriving 8/9 and departing 8/10. I see a 4 star that has no smoking, fitness, pool, rest, bus center and high speed for $132.00. I see a 3/1/2 star that has all the above and laundry for $129.00 How do you put the signals above in your email? I have been using priceline starting at $75 and going all the way up to $105.00 unsuccesfully. Should I take one of the above or keep trying priceline? The group is staying at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel by Marriott and I was trying to stay close by if not at that actual hotel which is in the Seattle Pike Peak area. Thanks for your help!
