  1. I bidded on a 4 star in Downtown Portland for Aug. 8th to 10th. I tried numerous times to get something less than 210 but eventually gave up and went for 240 and got the Embassy Suites. Seems like most rooms there are two room suites with breakfast and cocktails included. The rate on Booking.com for this hotel is $269, so it's a marginal discount.
  2. Hi Everyone, I fly into Honolulu from the mainland and need to spend 1 night in Honolulu as a sort of layover before carrying on to Lihue. Can anyone share suggestions or experiences bidding for a hotel that will get us to and from the airport with relative ease? We fly in fairly late night and will fly out early so amenities like pool, etc are not important, but I'd still like the hotel to be nice, clean and "desirable" to keep the ambiance of our trip. I'm looking for <$120 / night. Specific questions are what region should I look at, and do you think I'd be safe bidding for 3.5 or 4* in the area? Thanks!
  3. I won the Westin Princeville Resort and Villas for 3 nights, Sept 27 - Sept 30 @ $110/night. That was my first bid. Darn, always wonder if I could've done better :) Thanks for the help / info on here.
  4. Started at $70 and worked up to $90 in $5 increments. Wasn't picky about location in and around Seattle, just about the 4*-ness. I think this is a reasonable deal for the long weekend. I hope the rooms are non-smoking.
  5. Bid was won July 19, 2010, for 2 nights at the Marriott. PRICELINE had counter-offered $130, which I declined and then won with $120.
