  1. Just won a bid at $16 a day for full size (Hertz) - Mar 29 to April 5. Didn't notice this thread until after - otherwise I would have bid lower.
  2. Despite bidding on the 4* Deluxe, I was "upgraded" to the 5* Trump, so the mystery of the 4* condo in the Strip North remains. One thing I want to make clear is that the whole marketing of the "condo" is a bit of a scam. I had the impression I was bidding on a 1-bedroom with kitchen (oven, full-size fridge, breakfast bar, stools, etc.), when in fact what I got was a "studio" with kitchenette (2-burner stove and microwave). The reason I was led to believe I would get the 1 bedroom is that I actually called the Trump and was quoted $79.99 for the studio ($99.99 listed on their website less 20% for a stay of 3 days or longer). Since I was bidding up to $120 on Priceline, I was pretty sure I was going to get the 1-bedroom (which was available through the hotel at $159 a night). Long story short. Priceline was not a deal. Paid $40 a night MORE on Priceline than I could get through the hotel for a studio, then had to bend over and take another $50 a night upgrade to the condo (which I was told was a screaming deal over their usual $100 upgrad charge). The other disappointment was that two 1-bedrooms could not be adjoining (through a common foyer). Turns out you can only adjoin two studios or 1 bedroom and a studio. We went with the latter given the fact it could accomodate up to 6 people. For the record, the 1-bedroom condo with kitchen was our only desired option, since a bunch of us guys wanted to all stay in a couple of adjoining condos. If you're a bachelor party or a family wanting to plan a similar excursion, just phone the hotel and ask for their best deal. For the record, the winning bid was $120 a night for Sep 23 to 26.
  3. I see on Priceline that it is possible to bid on a 4* Deluxe for Las Vegas (Strip North Condo). I have seen on quite a few posts that the 5* is the Trump. But what condo hotel(s) would be considered 4* in the North Strip Vicinity? I have a bunch of buddies that want to book a couple of condos, but they're not that keen about staying at the Trump because it has no casino.
