  1. Could this be the Doubletree Guest Suites? I have been trying to search by star rating, but they are very inconsistent. The amenities look about right, though. Any thoughts out there?
  2. You might want to try Hotwire, too. I checked your dates, and if you are willing to stay in Georgetown rather than near Metro Center/Chinatown, you could get a 3* for $90. But don't give up on Priceline, either, especially if you want a particular part of the city. I had the same problem with Baltimore, and got a good deal a week later, after a few failed attempts. Also, be sure to go through savingsbarn.com to help support this site.
  3. This is for two rooms on my third day of bidding, using the incremental technique (no other region of Baltimore has 4* hotels). I had previously bid up to $150 without a win, but it took at $90 right now, with an offer to extend my trip. I've stayed there before, and it is a nice place with an indoor pool (many outdoor ones are closed until Memorial Day; they do charge a lot for bottled water and wi-fi, though). Thanks for this site!
  4. $96/ night on Hotwire. Ammenities include: Restaurant, Fitness Center, Pool, and Business Center. I posted for 2 rooms for 4.5 people from May 26-29. Says the retail price is $150, but I haven't seen anything listed for that in DC right now. Thanks!
  5. I just bought it for $59 from Hotwire, and it was indeed the Emory Inn, so this should be shown as 2.5* now.
  6. $59 a night for 2.5 star in Virginia Highlands/Emory Selected amenities include: Restaurant(s), Complimentary Breakfast, Pool(s), Fitness Center, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service). This matches a previous post of the Emory Inn, but at that time it was shown as a 3*. Tripadvisor shows it as a 2* property, so it seems like the number of *s changes. If anyone can tell if this is the Emory Inn, we appreciate it! We are spending one night and going to Emory University/ Yerkes the next day, then flying out in the evening.
  7. Is it possible that the Emory Inn has dropped to 2.5* ??? Hotwire has a listing with the exact same amenities, for 2.5*, for that area, listed at $59.
  8. We would like to try to stay near the Mount Vernon neighborhood rather than the Inner Harbor on Sept. 6 (Hotwire does not include Mount Vernon), but I am not sure which hotels might be counted as "3* Upscale" for Priceline. Any ideas would be appreciated!
  9. No, my wife did not like the Holiday Inn when we saw it there. I was hoping the one I saw was either the Lido Beach resort (formerly a Radisson) or maybe something I had not heard of on Longboat Key. Thanks!
  10. No, I get the $138 deal that is beachfront... If I expand the search to Central Sarasota, instead of just Longboat-Lido Key, then I also find a $134 and a $82 deal. Both of the latter two are "near beach". I just checked this right now, so that is strange we are finding different things!
  11. The listing is for a "longboat key-lido key hotel" for May 7-10, and the ameneties listed are: beachfront; restaurant(s); pool(s); laundry facilities (self-service). Any clues would be appreciated! Thanks!
  12. I found one hotel on hotwire for lido/longboat keys, that is shown as 2.5 stars and $138/night in May. Any idea what this might be? It says beachfront, but there are several possibilities... This forum is very helpful! I've used it for trips to the northeast before.
