Thank you everyone for your help. It looks like we're going to have to bite the bullet and book directly with a hotel because we need to gaurantee that we get double occupancy with both rooms. I have a few trips coming up soon though so I'll be sure to book any possible stays through this site, it's great!

Well that kind of changes things. So you're saying there's no gaurantee that I'll have two beds per room? Thanks, here's what I did: I bid zones 2, 7, 10, 11 @ $95 and was denied. Re-bid adding zone 3 @ $110 and was denied. Re-bid adding 3.5* @ $110 and was denied. Suggestions?

Thanks Colfax, however zone 5 (SFO North) is too far away for us. We're trying to stay as close to the Ballpark as possible, it's my bachelor party and we have 9 guys and we're all going out for a night on the town after the Giants game. Could I try this strategy using a different Zone than 5 after the initial bid? Much thanks!

I could go as high as $130 if it got me a 4*. Of course just trying to keep it as low as possible. If you could suggest a strategy I'd love to hear it. I really appreciate your help!

Thanks to both of you for the info! Yes, I first made the bid of $100 for 4* in all zones, then added the 3* and was still denied. I read the Bidding Strategy post and now realized I should have gone about it differently. I'm willing to accept all the zones I listed although maybe not Civic Center now based on the comment from Gallus. This is such a great service so thank you for the help. I'll go through the FAQ's right now. Any strategy you could help me out with would be much appreciated as I learn the ropes here. Thanks for that, although I still don't quite understand how USE and USW traslate into zone names? Are they acronyms for somthing? The zones I'm hoping to find something in are : Zone 1: Civic Center Zone 2: Financial District Zone 3: Fishermans Wharf Zone 4: Marina, Lombard Street Zone 7: SOMA - Moscone Center Zone 10: Union Square East Zone 11: Union Square West - Nob Hill Does bidding for 2 rooms decrease my chances of winning?

I'm looking for 2 rooms in a 3* or 4* San Francisco Hotel. Zones 1,2,3,4,7,10 or 11 on July 31st. I've put a bid in for $100 and was denied. Any suggestions on what I can do next? I really don't want to spend more than $100 per room. Also, what does USE and USW stand for? Thanks for any help!
