Portofino charges a $10 resort fee, but the amenities doesnt match. $73 currently.
  3. They dont offer a free shuttle, but route 6 of the area resort transit stops right in front of the hotel (http://www.rideart.org/route-map/) and they have a kiosk for purchasing the shuttle tickets right there, too. It's been a couple years since I stayed at Red Lion, but I remember the shuttle being better then the other hotel's free shuttles because it showed up very frequently and was dependable. I dont remember a resort fee, though. I think it used to be that only 5 star priceline hotels could charge resort fees. :(

  6. I saw what I predicted to be Red Lion (one of my favorite disneyland hotels) on HOTWIRE for $63 per night. I decided to try to get it cheaper through PRICELINE. Started bidding on 01/05/2012 at $38. Increased $2 at a time until reached $46 with no luck. Started bidding on 01/06/2012 at $46. Received a counter offer of $58 (victory is at hand). Increased until $50 and accepted. Parking fee of $14 or $15 per night is the only downside.
  7. I have been bidding for these dates (holiday weekend) for a couple weeks. Always bid Anaheim south 3* $56, then Anaheim North 3* 60, never any luck probably because its a holiday weekend. Today, I spotted Holiday Inn on hotwire and had a good feeling. The first bid of $56 was meant with a counter offer request of $64. I smelled the end of my search, declined the couner, added Anaheim North and bid $60 and success. For anyone trying for this hotel, I suggest trying for $58 first, then $60. Thanks!
  8. Just checked again and it's still there. Price dropped to $68 (and the other one dropped to $88). There is a 3.5 star hotel in the list too, I think that one is Doubletree (on the city drive). Doubletree is a good fall back hotel, but I would love to know what the $68 hotel is. Cant find any disneyland hotels that claim airport shuttle, so it seemed it would be easy to identify, but I havent figured it out yet. Thanks
  9. Disneyland North - $90 - 3 star - amenities: pool Disneyland South - $70 - 3 star - amenities: Airport Shuttle, Complimentary Breakfast, Pool. Thanks
  10. Thanks for the info! I actually love that the resort fee covers parking, internet, and the shuttle. I wish all hotels worked like that. Very easy to compare and since I would have paid for all three anyway, I calculate I am saving 8-10 per night. I plan to arrive early, around noon to 1pm. So hopefully they will allow check in that early.
  11. Ive been trying for a few days to get a hotel for disneyland. Finally grabbed one, albeit slightly higher than I wanted. Was hoping for Red Lion and expecting double tree. Priceline surprised me with this. Dates of stay are 08/11/11 to 08/18/11. History 07/22/2011 52 - Anaheim South 54 + Anaheim hills 56 + Laguna Beach 58 + Seal Beach 07/23/2011 60 - Anaheim South 62 + Anaheim hills 64 + Laguna Beach 66 + Seal Beach 07/27/2011 64 - Anaheim South 68 + Anaheim hills 72 + Laguna Beach
  12. I stayed there on this priceline win in April and there was no resort fee. It's the perfect hotel for disneyland especially with the free wifi!
  13. FYI, the dates have been changed on this post. I originally posted the date range of 04/19 to 04/23 (4 nights). I just noticed that it has somehow been changed to 1 night (which is incorrect).
  14. Started bidding yesterday using zone rebids, targeting Red Lion in Disneyland Anaheim. 04/07/2011 - 44, 46, 48, 50, 52 Resumed today 04/08/2011 - 54 (Counter offer $69), 56, 58, 60 ACCEPTED RED LION
  15. Started with Garden Grove 3.5* $45 ($35 + $10 Bonus) - Declined Added Anaheim Hills $47 ($37 + $10 Bonus) - Declined Added Laguna Beach $49 ($39 + $10 Bonus) - Declined Added Laguna Hills $51 ($41 + $10 Bonus) - Accepted Saw two other people in this forum with $49, so I figured I would get that. Perhaps I landed $51 because of the two weekend nights? Anyway, I'm going to Disneyland! :)
