  1. I was wondering about this one as well....the 100% is rare in the Orlando area-
  2. Used HOTWIRE link to begin. Icons included: Beachfront, Pool, Restaurant, Golf, Tennis (same as reported on "pinned"). Won the Doubletree Surfcomber for $122. Next best price I could find anywhere was $194 for this hotel. I am very happy with this win- Thanks Betterbidding! :)
  3. That re-bidding query is awesome, I have used Betterbidding before but had not kept up with all of the great improvements. I will certainly use it next time, this time I just goofed. I ended up calling Priceline to let them know that I found the price lower on the hotels own website. After a little bit of a misunderstanding (she initially tried to tell me that the web site's quote was without resort fee and that if I added that in they were only a dollar more than the hotel website, but when I asked if I would have to pay the resort fee, even when booked on PL, she agreed that I would) PL is refunding me the difference ($17 per night) plus 10%. I feel better now, and am sure I will enjoy the stay. Thanks, as always for your help!
  4. Used the PRICELINE link and was trying for the Marriott or the Hilton, but ended up with the Safety Harbor Resort on what I thought would be a free re-bid (North Clearwater). Started at $99, then to $107, then to my accepted price of $110. Unfortunately the Safety Harbor Website has this available for as low as $93 :) I guess you win some and you lose some. . . Hopefully this will be a great place and I won't let the extra $$ bring me down! Mousefansmom
  5. One night stay, first bid, January 12, 2008 through Savings Barn Although I have seen some negative reviews, I have stayed here before and not encountered any problems. Since I figured I would get this hotel (Thanks BB) I called ahead of time and confirmed that I could upgrade to a package including the waterpark for $50 more, which saved about $45 over the cheapest rate I could find WITH the package. Thanks again for another success- couldn't do it without all of you and the time you take to make your posts! Happy 2008!
  6. Sorry- forgot there were two in that zone-- This is for the Westin Michigan Ave.
  7. Was hoping for a pool, but will save $60/night over Marriott and Wyndham. We will swim with our friend's at their hotel. First Bid $74 rejected Used free re-bid (Midway) and accepted at $84, used PRICELINE link at SavingsBarn Mousefansmom
  8. I am watching HOTWIRE closely, am now a little gunshy with PL. Thanks for the offer of assistance, I will let you know!
  9. After researching on this board, I bid $59 for a 3* and got the Radisson on the first try. That was the one I was hoping for, so it pays to read these boards. Thanks to everyone who contributes! Mousefansmom
  10. I bid on a 2.5 * NMA for the dates of 3/28-3/31 and got the Tremont. After looking at reviews, I called the hotel to request that we got a room that was either already renovated or did not have mold (due to son's allergies); they could not guarantee that request. I called Priceline and they reversed the charges, which I believe was the most fair action they could take in this case. Mousefansmom
  11. $39 first try, rejected 3 *, added 2 1/2 * and raised bid to $46, upgraded to Sheraton, which is a 3* and what I was trying for. :)
  12. I bid $54 on PL and got the Westin for one night, 5/24/05. Interestingly enough, I tried to bid for my parents and brother a short time later, also for $54, 2 rooms, and was rejected. My sister bid $54 the next day and was accepted. My brother and parents got the Westin on HW for $78. Mousefansmom
  13. Thanks for clarifying, just overly sensitive I guess. Email doesn't always allow for the vocal inflections that are necessary for figuring conversations out. Regarding the Disney post, we ended up at an on-property Disney hotel, and had a family we weren't planning on who stayed at the Hilton. We were able to get the Coronado Springs Resort for $74/night for my family and my best friend/family- a price we couldn't pass up. This rate was with a post card that came about 6 weeks before the trip. Had a great time, and the Hilton worked fine for the other family, too. Mousefansmom
  14. Thanks for the input. As far as follow-up, I did add that the WDW trip was booked directly. My other posts were typically just help for others and didn't require a response. The two times I have booked, I posted the results (Hertz and WDW Hilton). I appreciate this forum, and do not want to be just a "taker". :) Mousefansmom
  15. Booked the Doubletree instead of taking the chance. Mousfansmom
  16. Hi, I am trying to figure out what the 3* might be that comes up for the dates of 9/30-10/03. This shows icons for restaurant, pool, fitness, business, high-speed internet. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, Mousefansmom :)
  17. :) The Hyatt is currently being renovated, with the pool to be completed by July, and rooms being renovated floor by floor. They expect to be done in May, 2005. Mousefansmom
  18. I am trying to figure out what the 4* customer favorite in the WDW area might be. It shows the following amenities: Restaurant, pool, fitness center, business center, golf, tennis, spa. It is showing at $106/night for Feb 27-March 2. Any thoughts? I cannot get into the customer reviews to see if that gives me any hints (glitch in my computer). Thanks in advance for any help. I love this board!!! Mousefansmom
  19. I booked the WDW Hilton (4* WDW area, customer favorite, restaurant, pool, fitness center, business center, $59 12/26-31) about 2 weeks ago for my family, and now need to try to secure it for my best friend and her family. Anybody see it lately, or have they possibly changed the rating to a 3.5* that is currently showing with additional amenities? Any help is truly appreciated! :)
