  1. I was looking for something cheap, with free parking, for a tail end of my Denver trip. I wasn't too worried about what part of town I was in, so I added various zones, changed star ratings a few times, started at $35 and ended up here. $45.00 Rooms: 1 Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $45.00 Taxes & Fees: $13.40 Total Charged to Card: $58.40 Booked this about a month ago, got busy and forgot to post it. Since this trip was in the past: yesterday...just thought I'd mention this is a perfectly fine suite hotel, kitchen was stocked with any utensil, pot, pan plate/cup size you could possibly need, plus stove/oven, full size fridge and dishwasher. We were pretty much in and out, didn't even make it for breakfast, but it was a perfectly acceptable stay.
  2. I usually try to stay downtown, but I need to make two trips to Red Rocks so I needed a car and my hotel criteria were cheap, and free parking. I really I wanted to stay nearer to Morrison, but that never happens this cheap so I just started around $35 over several days and added zones, etc, in a circle around that area. Ended up staying where I expected to stay, and paying what I expected to pay. avg. per room, per night $45.00 Rooms: 1 Nights: 4 + Add nights for the same rate! Room Subtotal: $180.00 Taxes & Fees: $36.68 Total Charged to Card: $216.68 Booked this a little while ago and just got around to post-always uses your PRICELINE links! :)
  3. Right^ I'm about to use mine-I hope. First you click on your email to "deposit" the reward into your account. You can actually close the priceline window you have open, then come here and click on the link to PRICELINE. Once you are there, go to "your account/Rewards" and you should see the bonus cash. I have a 4 day stay I need to book, I was hoping one of these would show up. :)
  4. I started off looking for a for a 4* from 07/16-07/19. I began bidding low, $55. I've been successful in the past for around that price and I had plenty of time...however as I looked at hotel availability on places like Expedia and Orbitz I was finding that Monday night was the night that was bringing the prices up. (Rockies game? Not sure what is up that night) I decided to split my bid since Monday night we are going to a concert at Red Rocks. We will have to rent a car that we prefer not to pay to park for the few hours between when we get home from the show and when we have to check out. Our plan is to bid for a hotel for JUST Monday night. We'll rent a car downtown-unfortunately I think Priceline requires us to pick up at airport which won't work. So, gradually over several days I upped my $50ish 4 star bids for a couple dollars till I hit $69, then went back down to 3.5 star and worked my way up to this: Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $65.00 Subtotal: $130.00 Taxes & Fees: $26.12 Total Charges*: $156.12 I actually prefer a lot of the 3.5 hotels in the downtown area, but the 4 stars have a better location if you don't rent a car...this one is located right where we want to stay so should work great. Also, my apologies but I started off bidding using my iPhone Priceline app, as it is supposed to give you Bonus Bucks towards your next purchase. I don't think there is any way to link through better bidding using the ap. The unfortunate part is that without realizing it, when I lost my first bid, the ap sent me to priceline website on my phone. Since that apparently prevented me from getting my Bonus Bucks anyway, I could have clicked through here. Wish I had been paying closer attention but I will make sure to use your link when I book my Monday night room.
  5. I actually started bidding Priceline on this, over a few days, started at $40, added zones, even dropped down to 2.5. Fail. When I got up to $60 I just figured I would go with Hotwire for $64, it had to be either the Holiday Inn or the Best Western. The Best Western is a slightly better location for us. Note that the Best Western is listed as a 2.5 on at least a couple of other sites. 3-star Hotel in Trinidad This Hotel features the following amenities: Fitness Center Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply. Pool(s) Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal. Golf Nearby Property is located within walking distance or a short drive of at least one golf course; an extra charge typically applies We are heading up to Denver and decided to split the trip since we're driving. I've wanted to check out Downtown Trinidad every time I've driven through, I just never managed to even stop for lunch. I almost skipped it again because I know I can get a suite hotel for around $35 in south Denver...but I hope this makes for a more relaxing drive on a holiday weekend.
  6. I had to book a room for a wedding in Las Cruces, The wedding is at a Days Inn that is surrounded by 4 or 5 other hotels, I figured I'd take a chance at beating the rate negotiated for wedding guests. I did a little research online and found this listing on Hotwire: 2.5-star Hotel in Las Cruces This Hotel features the following amenities: Complimentary Breakfast <amenity names only please... not descriptions> Fitness Center Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply. Pool(s) Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal. Laundry Facilities (self-service) <amenity names only please... not descriptions> High-Speed Internet Access Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access Which sounded enough like the La Quinta (790 Avenida de Mesilla) to make it worth the gamble. It wouldn't be the end of the world if I ended up at a different hotel, I just figured it would be nice to be walking distance. I wasn't quite willing to chance Priceline, this seemed like an OK deal. Also worth noting is that Expedia "unpublished" had the same hotel listing as Hotwire, not surprising since they are now listing it as "powered by Hotline"
  7. I should add that I bid on Downtown 4* using the "add a zone" and rebid and stopped trying at about $65, before I tried 3.5* so the $60 (less $5 per nite bonus cash) didn't feel too bad. The hotel looks nice, I'm looking forward to our brief stay.
  8. I hadn't checked in here for a couple days, wish I had, looks like LSU beat my price by $5. I used my Priceline Bonus cash and the Better Bidding PRICELINE link.
  9. wow, so very sorry, to have broken the rules. I thought my information combined with his lack of information might make this thread more complete, since we were looking at what was probably the same hotel at the same time. Asking for help in another thread wouldn't confirm if these were the same hotel.
  10. yes PLEASE-I am looking at Hotwire for a downtown hotel that I *think* is the Warwick for the 7-10th. The only amenity it shows is a pool, which is WEIRD for a 4 Star. The Warwick would probably be my first choice for this stay so if it's the same hotel I want to nab it while I can! EDIT: An hour ago this hotel was just showing a pool, now its showing: 4-star hotel in Greater Downtown Denver This hotel features the following amenities: Smoke Free Rooms Guest rooms at this hotel are always smoke-free. Fitness Center Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply. Pool(s) Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal. Restaurant(s) Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary. Business Center Guests have access to business equipment and services; an additional charge may apply. High-speed Internet Access Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply.
  11. I had been casually looking at hotels for an event (ok, it's a RUSH concert) in El Paso in June. I wasn't planning on booking for awhile, but I have been trying to get an idea what to budget for a three night stay. My original plan was wait till a little closer to the date and do some super low bids for downtown 3.5 stars (the highest Priceline shows for El Paso). However, while poking around for rooms for another trip I found that Southwest airlines had a deal on prepaid rooms for $51 at the Camino Real hotel. I had picked out my ideal hotel, a Hilton Garden Inn near the venue, but after perusing all the sites, I had a feeling no matter what I was going to end up at the Camino Real hotel. Didn't bother me, the location was ok and it's a cool old hotel. Lots of reviews said the rooms were somewhat run down, but that's not a huge issue for me. I still wasn't quite ready to commit, but since I was looking for rooms for another trip too, I checked a couple more places and found the same price at Orbitz. Orbitz was threatening "only a few more rooms at this rate", so I decided to commit. I did three Priceline bids before I booked the room, just to make sure (hey, I love this game). I tried $40, $42, and $45, got nothing, so googled "Orbitz coupon" and found a code: HOTEL5. Wasn't sure if it would work for this already discounted rate but it brought the hotel down to $48.45 a night. Anyway, some sites rate this room a 4-star, others rate it 3.5, which I suspect will be more accurate. I'm not sure if this will benefit anyone but if you're looking to stay in El Paso in the next few months, Orbitz seems to have as good a rate as you're likely to get for Downtown And yes, after researching I came back here and used your Orbitz link to bid. :)
  12. Had a friend driving through looking for hotel suggestions. Rather than name a hotel, I suggested she PRICELINE 3* Uptown ABQ at about $45 and she should end up in a good location at a decent hotel for a good price. Ended up at the Radisson after first $45 bid. Sorry, since this was an over the phone suggestion she didn't use the PRICELINE link, but I thought I'd share the info anyway.
  13. wow, please update us on this when you get an answer.
  14. I got interupted before i could do the second hotel...I should add that I DID use your links to bid, came back today to finish and add the second thread. I'm tempted to try the "extend your stay" option and stay one more day in Denver if I can stay at the Oxford. Will have to see if that works with my other plans. I suspect that the Oxford is using Priceline to help fill up the hotel during the week, their website shows how many rooms are available if you book through them directly, they are full for the weekend and have 300+ rooms available Mon & Tues.
  15. and the Grand Hyatt Denver for the weekend 10/02-10/04 for $79 plus $10 bonus Cash: Total Charges to your Credit Card Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $79.00 Subtotal: $158.00 Taxes & Fees: $33.10 Total Charges*: $191.10 for both of these hotels (see Oxford Hotel) I started with $45 + $10 bonus cash in various increments (sometimes $1, sometimes $5) over several days. I took my time, because I had plenty of time for the trip, but started worrying that because I wasn't finding ANY downtown hotels on Hotwire and the price was higher than usual on Priceline, that I should just take the plunge and make a commitment. :)
  16. I was trying to get one of those great 4* $55 deals for 10/02-10/04. Used my bonus cash and rebid zones over several days for the four nights and kept getting denied. I really didn't want to go much over $70, so I decided to split my bid between weekdays and weeknights to see if I could save some $. I'm familiar with the area, the hotels downtown are all pretty close and connected by the free tram so I figured it was worth it. ended up with $58 plus $10 bonus cash at the Oxford Hotel, which looks really cool (and is supposed to be haunted-BONUS) for the weeknights Total Charges to your Credit Card Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $58.00 Subtotal: $116.00 Taxes & Fees: $26.86 Total Charges*: $142.86 and the Grand Hyatt Denver for the weekend 10/02-10/04 for $79 plus $10 bonus Cash: Total Charges to your Credit Card Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $79.00 Subtotal: $158.00 Taxes & Fees: $33.10 Total Charges*: $191.10 Worth it for me to split it up and save $50. I imagine I could have gotten the Hyatt for 4 days had I gone up that high originally but I'm really happy to check out the Oxford. Looks like it caters for couple weekends and it's completely booked up on their website on the weekend, but fairly empty during the week.
  17. I just made the same successful bid as this priceline win for August 15th-19th. :) Thanks for the suggestion, the location is perfect for me!
