  1. The Hotwire description includes: complimentary breakfast, pool(s), business center and laudry facilities. I was a bit surprised to get the Best Western (on Jackson Rd.) I guess I expected it would be like the Priceline 2.5* selections. We're just happy to get a room at a decent price during graduation weekend!
  2. Oops, I didn't realize there was a 3* option for Ann Arbor. I didn't bid Ypsilanti, I bid Ann Arbor but looks like we'll be staying in Ypsi for a night. Indoor pool so it should be fine. I should have looked at priceline's maps, they show this hotel. My first bid for $50 for 3* was rejected. It's a football weekend, so I went a lot higher in the next bid, up to $65 and added 2.5*.
  3. We loved this place last time so we were happy to get it again, now for $5 less. The rooms are bright and clean, lots of mirrors in the bathrooms, free breakfast and very friendly staff. Awesome indoor swimming pool! Went thru savings barn.
  4. I was just re-reading my post, it should have said I re-bid $45, not $25. sorry about that. We spent all summer in the hands on museum, it is awesome. All summer when we weren't at zingermans, that is!
  5. I bid $45 for a 2.5* hoping to get the Residence Inn (last time I got it for $52). I re-bid $45 $25 adding 2* to my bid, and got the Hampton Inn south. It has an indoor swimming pool my daughter will love!!! I went thru savingsbarn.com
  6. Sorry, I just saw this... Yes, it said Customer Favorite. I'll see if I have any pictures that may be useful. Thanks again for site, it has been very useful!
  7. I'm already back from Hawaii (the Hilton Hawaiian Village is Incredible!!) but I booked just 2 days before, hence the late post. When I looked for rooms here for my whole trip (3/1-2/6) HHV didn't show up. When I got rid of the Sat night stay, it popped up. I know this has been posted before, but in case anything has changed: The amenities are: Resort, Beachfront, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Spa Services, Childrens Activity Program, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Business Center We got the "luxury" Ali'i Tower, coffee, bottled water were free, and a free appetizer buffet from 5-7pm every night. We checked in at the airport, not sure if that makes a difference but the "upgrade" was nice!!
  8. It looks like this may be a new hotel for Ann Arbor Priceline. Last week I tried, and 2* was the highest. I don't know if $52 is really a good deal, but it is for week nights so I am satisfied. My original bid was for 2.5* ann arbor for $40. I got rejected, but the message let me one time only try again if I raised my price by $12; I didn't have to change anything else. Since I need the room for tomorrow, I felt like there wasn't a lot of wiggle room and upped the bid by $12. Go Blue! -Billine
  9. I was veerrryy nice. I did my research, had a list (what I outlined above, or will it show up below...) in front of me. Said that we are traveling with a baby, and the pools being out would be very disappointing. I told them my main concern was that I paid for 3* and was not gettting the hotel amenities that Priceline thought I should be getting. I spun it so that P-line should be concerned that the hotel is not up to p-line's standards for a 3* right now, because all the amenities pline thinks it has are not available. They told me they would call R.G. to confirm. I got an email 48 hours later, with the cancellation info. P-line said "the resaurant is open" (one of my concerns was that one of the two was closed) maybe they didn't realize there were 2 restaurants. I'm going to walk over to R.G. next week and see how it looks, I can post about that upon return. I would definitely call if you plan on using the pool or other amenities. My bigger concern, that I didn't mention to p-line but maybe you should, is all the bad reviews I've read about R.G. Hope that helps!
  10. I bid $90 for a 3 star and got Royal Gardens as well. The problems (that R.G will confirm on the phone): one of two restaurants closed, no shuttle service (tho it is advertised as having it), fountain broken (bummer if you have a baby like I do) , one of the pools closed, 2 jacuzzis closed. I think that is it... But that doesn't sounds very 3 star-ish. I contacted p-line, and I am thrilled to say that they refunded my money. Yay Priceline! I will gain some info from other posts, and try to bid again. They warned me not to re-bid in the waikiki north for 3 star, b/c they aren't removing it from their list. So, it is definitely worth a try to contact them. Did I say yay Priceline yet? Yay Priceline! Hawaii, here we come... ps great website!
