  1. Thanks to everyone for the replies. Our plans ended up shifting so that staying on-property (with increased flexibility, ease of transportation, etc.) ended up being the right choice this go-around. However, now that we've moved out of the area and are contemplating a trip this next year, I'll be able to use this info to find an off property site, so thanks again!
  2. I might still PRICELINE but if anyone has an idea about this HOTWIRE property, I'd be grateful. It's in Tacoma (the city itself, not an outlying area), three stars for $79 and the listed amenities are: Smoke Free Rooms Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Thanks!
  3. I'm looking for a few one or two night stays in the Disney area over the next few months and I have some questions about resort fees. We're passholders and mostly have stayed on property as the discounts are very good, however they seem less good this season so we thought we'd try some PRICELINE or HOTWIRE as we use them a lot on the road. My concern is all the extra resort and parking fees in the Disney area. If we have to pay an extra $30, we might as well stay on property. Are resort fees leveraged only at places designated "resorts" or can regular hotels charge these fees as well? I'm looking at 3*-4* properties, preferably in the Lake Buena Vista or Disney Maingate areas and the other nearby zones. Thanks in advance for any thoughts--love BB!
