Needed a hotel in the Santa Barbara vicinity. First tried all zones in Santa Barbara, both 2.5 and 3 star levels. Nothing for up to $50. Tried Ventura, bid $44 for 3 star, got back an offer to add $12 to the bid. Instead, bid Ventura again, but added Oxnard, which had no 3 stars in the area, and won at $50. Still a bit confused about how to sign out, try other area, then add the two to get free rebids.

I don't understand how to start bidding over. Do you mean after 72 hours? I thought once I had selected a zone I had to keep it when adding other zones. Do you mean I should bid the original lower price when I add a zone? I didn't want to use up all my bids and not have a room as I was leaving in two days. I read other tips on how to not add the last zone and then start over, but I did not understand how to do it. Thanks for any response and help.

Started bidding at $45 for three star in Encinitas area, added Escondido area and upped price to $50, then upped to $55 and added Del Mar area.

Well, I put in a bid to start the process. I chose the North Tucson area, resort class. I bid $75 and got the Omni Tucson National Golf Resort. I had checked Travelocity, and they wanted $296.74 a night for that time. I guess I bid too high to start! I'm pretty happy nonetheless!

Yes, I did know about the distance, but we want to stay at a resort if possible. Thanks for all your help.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I am really flexible regarding where we stay. We are visiting a student at the U of A. As for the resort, yes we are looking in either the Tucson North area, or La Paloma. I saw the earlier post that someone bid $125 and got the Westward Look resort. Is that the price area I need to be thinking of?

Hello- I am new to bidding Priceline. Will be taking family of 4 to Tucson from 3/25-4/2. Would like a resort or nice big hotel room for the stay. Suggestions on how to begin bidding would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
