Disappointed. Started bidding 3* Monterey Pacific Grove at $80. Got a rebid offer of $22 more. Wanted either Casa Munras or Hyatt Regency. Thought that Carmel-Carmel Valley would be a free rebid, since formerly Mission Inn was 2.5 *. Rebid at $85, and was accepted by Mission Inn! Have stayed there, and while nice, I wanted to try one of the other ones. I should have only selected 3.5* I guess, but since there were no 3* on the BetterBidding list, thought I was safe. :)

Need a hotel room tomorow night near UC Davis for a visit, so not much time to mess around for absolute best deal. First tried 2* in Davis for $50, rejected. Then moved to Sacramento area, South Natomas, 2.5* for $50, accepted. Have stayed in this hotel before, for same price, and it is a good deal. Newer hotel, nicely furnished, comfortable, and not too far from Davis. Even with gas, I believe cheaper than staying in Davis. Used BetterBidding PRICELINE link. I'm done! Went up to $190 per night 3* using different strategies, including changing the number of nights between 1 and 3 nights. All rejected. Then tried 2.5*'s and bid up to $130 per night, also rejected. I do not want to go higher than that for the 2.5* hotels there. Yes, we booked a regular rate room at another hotel we have stayed at, so we are covered. I may try for the 3* again later, because I really would like to stay at the Hyatt. Maybe something will open up, but I am not optimistic. This is the Lantern Festival weekend there, and I think everything is taken.

Added Marina Seaside, and rebid up to $150 per night, still rejected.

Well, I tried $120 and then $130 using the Carmel free rebid zone for a 3* and was still rejected. Tomorrow, will try $140.

Hi, I have bid from $80 to $110 in $10 increments over the past two days, all rejected. My question is should I only try to bid for the first night, Thursday, and then add a night? Is the add a night feature always available? I am guessing that the Friday night in this resort area is harder to get than the Thursday night. I may be wrong, so just checking. Thanks.
