From my experience, the Trip Advisor ratings are usually a far better guide to finding a good hotel than the star rating system. This will be our first stay at this property. It looks good for families since the reviews say the pool is good, and the breakfast looks good and the rooms are large.. I was able to be fairly certain that my hotel would end up being this property because of Betterbidding. Thanks!.

Just spent a night at Holiday Inn Madison at the American Center. Hotel was exceptionally clean, quiet, in a safe area and the staff was really great. Beds were comfy. Big flat screen TV. The bearded mantainance guy helped us with a minor car repair quickly and he was friendly. The hotel gets 100% satisfaction reviews consistantly for a reason. Every employee we encountered was eager to help in any way they could. I am not sure how old the property is, but it seems brand new. The only thing negitive I could say is that there was no free breakfast. They have a restaraunt and it looked reasonable. It was better than any Holiday Inn we have ever stayed at. Just spent a night at Holiday Inn Express Deerfield Nov 13 for $44 (2 Queens) via HOTWIRE. Excellent breakfast with a great deal of variety. Hotel was clean, quiet, and well run.

Holiday Inn Express Deerfield, 2600 Lake Cook Road, Riverwoods,IL,60015 Amenities: Smoke Free Rooms Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access This is on the official "family visit" weekend for Northwestern University. The hotels in Evanston have more than tripled the price they will accept for this weekend (if they have any left). And when bidding on Priceline for the Evanston/Skokie hotels, they would not accept a bid twice as much as a usual winning bid. I will drive 12 to 15 min for this $44 a night hotel.

I tryed unsucessfully to win a East Lansing 3* for $60 for July 29th. I added Lansing (western zone) on my free re-bid and dropped the bid price to $56 and won the Courtyard By Marriott.

Sorry, It was for July 10th. I ended up booking a different hotel because I needed to be sure the room had 2 beds. Thanks for the awesome forum! I ended up booking a seperate trip to Lansing (July 29th) bidding on PRICELINE through your link. Using information from the calender of wins, I was able to get the 3* Courtyard By Marriot for $56.00. :) I will post my win for that trip. Just wondering... is there any way to gaurantee a room will have 2 beds using PRICELINE bidding or HOTWIRE? Thanks again!
