  1. I didn't have much time to book, so I began with this bid. I only bid once and won. We stay at this property often and love it. (Concierge will validate parking, FYI.) Used betterbidding PRICELINE links.
  2. My husband and I each took turn bidding for 2 nights. All our bids failed, but then we got an excellent hotel on HOTWIRE for $65 a night. I'm glad our bids were rejected. goal: COS south, manitou, or COS central, airport ok Priceline Bidding: 7/4/2013 3.5 stars 48, cos south, reject 51, manitou, reject 51,add central, reject 7/5/2013 4 star, $54 south, reject, add manitou, reject 3.5 star, $54, reject 4 star south, $57, add manitou, $60 reject, 3.5 star, manitou or cos south, $57, reject, add monument, $60, reject switched users, added monument to cos south and manitou, bid $63, reject (didn't add any more areas due to I would lose the guaranteed pool) Priceline just didn't do it this time, but that's OK.
  3. After bidding up to $63 for a 3.5 star on Priceline, I am very happy with this win for $65. Hotel gets great reviews. Used the links mentioned here.
  4. I bid (using your link) on the 3.5 star hotel at $65 per night. I won the Radisson!!! Tripadvisor ranks it as the #7 hotel in Colorado Springs, and what a great price. I'm very happy with this win. Thank you!
  5. Thanks. Then maybe the LaQuinta for the 3 star. I type all the amenities into TripAdvisor and there were only a dozen hotels that came up, most of which are in N Colorado Springs.
  6. Ok. Done. 3.5 stars, $63, Cos Airport Free Parking, Indoor Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center, Accessible for deaf, accessible Bathroom Free airport shuttle, pool, free Internet, self serve laundry, accessible path of travel, handicap parking Pet friendly, smoke free rooms, restaurant, high speed Internet access, in room accessibility, roll I'm shower 3 stars, $72, COS South World Arena Free parking, self serve laundry, pet friendly, handicap parking Free breakfast, fitness center, high speed Internet Free Internet, pool, accessible bathroom All things equal, I am leaning toward the second due to breakfast. We have 2 adults, 2 kids. Thank you! -edit: Upon further inspection it looks like it could be the Hyatt House, Drury Inn, or La Quinta (if HW upped the 2.5 La Quinta to 3 stars). Hoping its not the La Quinta!
  7. Travel dates are 2 nights, August 3-5, 2 adults, 2 children, Colorado Springs. 3.5 star, $65 per night, COS Airport Area Amenities listed are: Free Parking Free Internet Pet friendly Indoor pool(s) Airport Shuttle Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) After looking at Tripadvisor, I'm thinking the Radisson COS Airport? Also, 3*, $72 per night, South COS World Arena Hotel Amenities listed are: Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Pet friendly Fitness Center Pool(s) Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Accessible bathroom My guess is the Hampton Inn COS I-25 South? Any comments? Does anyone else think I'm close? Thank you!
  8. Total for 2 nights after 5 perc off coupon was Total: $120.26
  9. I couldn't help noticing that I had to bid higher than the known average for this room due to the fact I was using their 5 percent off coupon. Here is how I bid: 46, DFW North, rejected add Lewisville free rebid zone, $48, rejected add Carollton-FB, free rebid zone, $51, WIN
  10. Thanks so much for the help. We decided to book a condo through an owner directly (did not use HW or PL) because I found a great deal, and most of the 'hotels' were condos anyway. I will use this site and your bidding tips to plan for another leg of our trip, in Colorado Springs. Thank you so much for your help.
  11. I found a 4* property in Beaver Creek for $128 per night plus resort fee. Dates are 8/7-8/10 of this year, 2 adults and 2 kids. I believe it is The Pines Lodge Rock Resort. However, the reviews for that property indicated kitchenettes, and these amenities do not. Also, the Pines is a 3.5 star and HW says this hotel is a 4 star, although I guess that is subjective. Amenities: Free Internet Slopeside Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Golf Nearby Accessible for the blind Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower Thank you!
  12. I would love a 4 star but do not believe there is one in Breck or Frisco according to PL when I bid yesterday. So I'll say least expensive 3.5.
  13. I ended up booking direct due to a time crunch. Thanks for your help.
  14. Done. I might add that yesterday I bid $70 and $75 (don't laugh), on Breck and Frisco, 3.5 stars. 4 stars not listed as an option. Rejected. I bid low as I was nervous.
  15. After searching my email it appears I decided to stay at the Fairfield Inn in Irving, regular rate of $89, indoor pool, free breakfast. We really like this hotel.
  16. After seeing travel pics of the nasty La Quinta, maybe I will raise my star level to 3.5 and up my price about $20. So 3.5 at $120 or below.
  17. I would like a pricing strategy for a hotel for the dates of 8/7-8/10 (3 nights) in the Frisco area, or possible Breckenridge. We would prefer to stay under $100 if possible! Also, and I know you can't choose amenities, but we would really like a pool and so maybe I should shoot for 3-4 stars. Would love an input.
  18. This hotel is listed on HW for $85. I am trying to figure out which it might be. Here are the amenities. I did click on the links...hopefully I did that correctly. 2.5-star Hotel in Silverthorne - Frisco This Hotel features the following amenities: Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Suite Indoor pool(s) Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service)
  19. These are right outside of Dallas. 1 night, this Sat. Oct 22. This is for 3 kids and 1 adult, but we can bring cots and squeeze. No amenities are super important. Strategy can be for priceline or hotwire. -Note: 1 time we were given a great room IN the DFW airport (DFW North), one of the busiest airports in the nation! The kids loved watching the planes take off from the huge window but it's a hassle getting in and out of the airport so I'd rather not repeat that experience. Still, it was a nice hotel...guess I don't have much of a specific choice. angel
  20. Sorry! The dates are 6/12/10 check-in for a 1 night stay. The date I won the bid was 6/11/10, if that matters. Thanks!
  21. I did Priceline 'Name Your Own Price' where I got this room for $50 just 1 day before our trip. It even has an outdoor, infinity edge pool! The kids are going to love that. 4*s, folks! Yes, I used the PRICELINE link from this site. BY THE WAY I JUST FOUND OUT THE REGULAR RATE IS $129.00 FOR THIS ROOM! They have many rooms, so I am guessing on which one I will be getting. They're similar: Enjoy deluxe amenities and skyline or runway views from a soundproofed, 364-sq.-ft. room offering balcony and one king or two queen Grand Beds with ultra-plush pillows, the softest sheeting, and down blankets–all piled atop irresistible pillow-top mattresses. Deluxe amenities include generous work area, wireless Internet access, coffeemaker, Colombian Supremo coffee and Portico bath products.
