  1. THanks for your insightful comments. I decided not to book the HOTWIRE deal. I booked a regular advance ressie at Hilton Bonnet Creek for $123/night that I can cancel. Given the chance that the hotel i was seeing might be the Hilton, I decided not to do HOTWIRE. If it were in fact the Dolphin hotel, I would be thrilled to get it at the HOTWIRE price, which I think was $115. I'm thinking about going the PRICELINE route. And yes, will go thru the link here if I do that.
  2. Oddly enough, I'm looking at similar dates and found similar results on Hotwire. I called Hotwire about the one that claims to be 74% off cost of some astronomical regular rate of over $400. They immediately told me that the last customer got the Dolphin hotel and started pushing me to book it. I was very tired and did not book it even though they were pretty pushy. Today is a much better day for me to make the decision, so I may go for it if it is still available. Just thought you might like to know this.
  3. I was wrong! :) Don't guess you'll hire me anytime soon. I got the Doubletree by Hilton at SeaWorld for 12/13 - 12/18 for $52, a real steel. This is a hotel I am very happy to get! We are going to Orlando specifically for SeaWorld and Discovery Cove, and this is an official partner hotel. Wow!!
  4. After extensive research, I'm guessing that it's Marriott Grande Vista because Priceline listed it for $99/ night. I thought I would post my guess and then link from your site to purchase.
  5. My travel dates are 12/13 - 12/18/2012 This hotel is 3.5* and is coming up as the closest to SeaWorld on Hotwire for $52. Says $99 other sites. Amenities: Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Hi-Speed Internet access Accessible path of travel Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Recommended in 90% of Hotwire customer reviews. Thank you for any ideas. And yes, if I bid, I will link thru this website. :)
  6. I want to communicate the ripoff I had at the Days Inn in Custer, SD. I've been a PRICELINE customer many times and never had an outrageous charge related to our child. I'm well aware of the 2 adult accommodation, but a $30 charge per night for a 2nd bed has NEVER happened. I purchased for 2 nights, then called the hotel to request a 2nd bed because it only has 48 rooms. The staff was clear that I would be charged an additional $30 per night for the 2nd bed. She said she always has this problem with PRICELINE customers. I was outraged and told her that I was considering extending my stay another night, but that I clearly would not do that now. I told her that they should not list on priceline since it is a consistent problem. She said she had no choice but to list with them as it was a corporate decision. (I find that hard to believe.) My complaint is not the charge in and of itself; it's the outrageous amount. This is a PRICELINE penalty. It should have been $10 or $15 at the most. I've communicated my complaint to PRICELINE, not expecting any refund. I just hope that they will discontinue providing Days Inn - Custer as an option.
