Just booked a night at the Element Omaha Midtown Crossing via the PRICELINE link from this site. I had been trying for a long time to find a 3* hotel in the Eastern zones for around $50 and finally found one at $55. The hotel is currently rated #6 of 69 hotels in the Omaha area, so I am happy for the price. The site said that I saved 44% on the booking. Looks like a very nice and modern option for those interested. Each room apparently has a kitchen and appliances! Cheers!

Had been trying for the Sheraton Brookhollow for $49 as someone else had posted in the forums, but gave up as I neared $60 without any luck over a 2-day period. Decided to drop my rating to 3 star since I was seeing 3 star deals around $45 on Priceline Express and Hotwire. I first entered $35 with Brookhollow as my only choice and 3 star rating or better. That failed and it asked me to increase by $7 up to $42. I backed out and added Downtown Houston and bumped up to $38, fairly confident that no downtown hotel would be that cheap. It brought back my reservation for Courtyard By Marriott Houston Brookhollow! It isn't the highest rated hotel on Tripadvisor (295 of 432), but the price is right. I think the normal rate is around $90 per night, so this is roughly 57% off. Used the PRICELINE link from this site. Cheers!

I tried $50 for 4* Downtown and then Forest Park-Clayton with no luck. I then lowered it to 3.5* Downtown with no luck again. It finally settled at 3.5* at the Sheraton Clayton Plaza. This hotel seems to get good reviews around town. I was actually kicking myself for missing it on HOTWIRE at $54 a night. Here is my total with taxes from PRICELINE: $50 x 4 nights = $200 Taxes = $41.20 ------------------------- Total = $241.20 That is much better than the rack rate of $99.50 a night + taxes I was seeing on their page and a bit better than HOTWIRE was offering.
