  1. Bid $145 + taxes and fees $27.30 = $172.10 Bidding was: 5* in Norrmalm-Gamla Stan for $135 = reject; was offered a re-bid at $160 5* in Sodermalm for $140 = reject 5* in Norrmalm-Gamla Stan+Sodermalm for $145 = accept Listed rate for the same night was $187+$22.72 = $210.19
  2. Yeah it's not clear to me why this is, it's just a random weekend trip we're taking from SEA. Worst case scenario, we stay in Richmond, I guess?
  3. Prices are looking pretty high on a Hotwire search. I've tried bidding $150 all the way down to 3* on Priceline for Downtown and Granville areas, but it looks like that's not even close.
  4. Bid to $135 (been trying all possible rebid zones for Loop and NMA for 4* and 3.5* for the last week, starting at a lowball price of $80). Priceline suggested I bid $185 and it would be accepted. I bid $140 and got the Allerton at 3.5*. A little concerned about the reviews on Tripadvisor, especially the most recent one complaining about bedbugs.
  5. Bid last week for Economy @ $8/day and rejected. Bid today for Economy @ $8/day (suggested "great chance" was $13/day) and rejected. Accepted offer to bid again for a Compact car (suggested price was in high teens/$20), bid $9/day and accepted. National Car Rental.
  6. Yup, it was Mayflower Park. Booked for the dates I mentioned of $86/night (when I went to book this morning, the price had gone down $3). Thanks for the info!
  7. Did a search through this forum's HOTWIRE link and getting quoted $89/night for a 3* hotel in the Pike Place area. Amenities listed: non-smoking, fitness, restaurant, high-speed internet Hotwire claims that it's rated 4.5/5 on Tripadvisor. From the Hotwire hotel list on this board, it seems like this must be the Mayflower Park. I've never bid on a hotel before (just rental cars) so I want to have someone else confirm... Priceline told me I can get a 4* hotel for the same dates, Pike Place area for $114 and perhaps a little bit lower. Not sure if I should just pay the extra $20 per night to get a 4* through Priceline instead? Main priorities are cleanliness (of bathroom and sheets and carpet especially) followed by comfort. Thanks!!
