  1. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night):$83.00 (USD) (**actual bid was $93. I had $10/night priceline bonus) Number of Rooms:1 Number of Nights:3 Room Subtotal:$249.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees:$50.64 (USD) Total Room Cost:$299.64 (USD) Check-In: Thursday, September 22, 2011-03:00 PM Check-Out: Sunday, September 25, 2011-11:00 AM
  2. Hi I am also interested to know what this hotel could be. Thanks!
  3. 2 Rooms 4* sheraton downtown Toronto for $55 using your PRICELINE link for 8/28-8/30 First bid of $52 was rejected but they offered a free rebid if I raised the price by $17. I waited 24hr and rebid at $55
  4. Thanks for all your help Cupper! I have a car reserved through Dollar rent a car but its kinda pricey so i might check out the website you recommended. Have you ever tried them?
  5. I was able to book the Sheraton Kauai Resort for $140 for 5/23/09 - 5/27/09 Not the best deal since I suspect the Sheraton was going for $118/night on hotwire a month earlier for the same dates. I bid in $5 increments from $90-$140 for Resort level in Kauai Since I used a priceline bonus cash link I wasnt able to go through the link. I sent a small donation via paypal and will use the link for my next bid. Also, I shouldve booked my car rental when priceline gave me the option to take a convertible for $54/day Most rental companies in Kauai are now booked for Memorial Day weekend and rates have gone up considerably for whats left. Lesson learned... consider the risk of waiting until the last minute when booking for a long weekend.
  6. Thanks for the offer Cupper! If you're not using the coupon that would be great! I bid $120 and $125 and still no luck. Perhaps the resort level hotel listed on hotwire is a 3.5* hotel on priceline.
  7. I've been trying to bid for a resort level Kauai hotel for a few days now. Started my bid in the low $90s and am now at $117/night. I noticed that hotwire had a resort level hotel for $121/night. Are priceline hotels usually cheaper than hotwire hotels or do prices vary? I have a feeling I'm no where close to a winning bid on priceline since I havent even gotten the offer to rebid for $22 more.... Just starting to get worried since my trip is near and I will be travelling on Memorial Day weekend.
  8. I think the Sheraton would be great since its in Poipu. My concern with bidding is that the winning bids for Marriott have been in the same price range as the Sheraton ($105-115) They are both grouped in the same location (even though the Marriott is on the eastern side of the island)
  9. That's awesome and I'm happy that you'll be able to stay at the Hyatt! I would love to stay there but the possibility of getting the Sheraton or Marriott for $180+ when others have been winning bids for $110-$115 is kinda scary. Does anybody know how Priceline decides which hotel to offer you if several hotels in your level are willing to accept your bid.
  10. Wow great deal! I am trying to book a resort level hotel in Kauai for 5/23-5/27 and have bid $94, $99 and $103 without any luck. How did you know Priceline would assign you the Grand Hyatt and not a cheaper resort say... the Sheraton or the Marriott for that price?
  11. 1st Try: $94 Resort Level Waikiki Beach, declined, but they offered a free rebid if I added $22. I declined 2nd Try: $99 Resort Level and added Diamond Head - ACCEPTED! Rates through Hyatt website is currently $167/night Self parking is expensive @ 25/night Does anybody know if they charge a resort fee? Sorry I didnt use the link but will gladly make a donation through paypal. This website has been extremely helpful! Thanks again! Elaine
  12. Just curious, how where you able to confirm the Grand Hyatt had a lower rate on lastminutetravel.com? I thought the hotels on their website were undisclosed? I'm looking for a hotel in Kauai for the same period. Thanks!
  13. hi I was wondering how you enjoyed your stay at the Chelsea? I am looking to book three rooms for the night of March 21 and was wondering if the hotel offered more than one bed in the room you won. Thanks!
  14. Hi Thanks for posting your bid! I am also looking for a room in AC on March 21. I stayed at the Chelsea in the summer and its a very nice hotel. Do you know yet whether you got a room in the Chelsea Annex, Lite, or Luxe? Also, does the reservation tell you how many beds you will have? I need to book three rooms and some rooms will have 3-4 occupants. Thanks! Elaine
  15. Just booked The Westin Philadelphia for $129/night (2/14/09 - 2/16/09) 4* Center City East Fitness Center/Restaurant/Business/High Speed Internet
  16. My apologies for the late reply I just got back from my stay at The Chelsea The amenities shown when I booked on August 14 were: 4* Downtown Atlantic City : Beachfront, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities, High-speed Internet Access, Spa Services I'm not sure if the hotel is still available but fyi, the fitness center and spa services were both not ready. But other than that, i found the hotel and their customer service outstanding.
  17. I was also able to book The Chelsea on HOTWIRE for $115 for Aug 24-25. I received an email from Hotwire shortly afterwards saying that the hotel will not be able to offer Spa Services. Hotwire offered to give me credit amounting to 50% of the cost of my stay.
  18. I know its not the greatest deal but for some reason it was really tough to bid for a hotel in Springfield this weekend. (probably due to The Big E Festival). I started my bidding at $55 for a three star and worked my way up in increments of 5 until I was accepted at $90. Not bad considering the room is $179 on the Sheraton website. I also tried for a 2* but only went as high as $55 (from $40) before I gave up.
  19. Amenities for the Royal Lahaina Resort: Beachfront Restaurant(s) Pool(s) Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Laundry Facilities (self-service)
  20. I was looking to book a one night stay near Kahului airport for March 5. It seems everything is sold out. After trying for two weeks, I finally settled for a hotel in Ka'anapali. Hotwire offered a 3 star for $148 but when I tried booking it, I was told it was no longer available. So I tried booking a condo for $151 but was also told it was no longer available. After several more tries I was able to get the Royal Lahaina Resort for $163. I checked the website again, 2 hours later and I see the $148 offered again. Does this happen frequently on Hotwire? I cleared my cache and deleted my cookies so I'm not sure why my first offer didnt go through.
  21. I checked the Westin's amenities under "My Account" and the full list is as you mentioned: Resort Beachfront Restaurant(s) Pool(s) Fitness Center Spa Services Children's Activity Program Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Business Center I still have to book the first night but again not too worried since I'll probably just get something close to the airport. Thanks again to all for helping me on my first Priceline/Hotwire experience
  22. I'm a little hesitant to call Hotwire to double check (just in case they change their mind about giving me the discount) but the confirmation email i received showed the $50 savings. (see below). Also, I didn't see anything in the fine print about not being able to use the $30 coupon in conjunction with other offers. I'll try and will post the results. Hotel 1 room(s) @ $192.00 per night x 6 night(s) $1,152.00 Hotel Taxes and fees: $250.95 Hotel Subtotal $1,402.95 Additional Savings $50.00 Total Price $1,352.95 Some hotels may apply additional charges for incidental fees such as parking. Prices are in $USD I really found it strange that I got the $192 rate by adding 3/6. And I was confused as to how lonestar and I were getting different rates at the same time (192 vs 195 and 202 vs 208).
  23. I got it! $192 @ the Westin 3/6-3/12 I also noticed that there was a box for promotional codes, so i did a quick search and found that "giftcard03" gives $10 off per night (for first time hotwire customers - max 5 nights) Saved another $50! Does this cancel out the Entertainment Coupon deal of $30? Now all i need is a one night booking for 3/5. Not too worried about that since I'll be arriving in Maui 9:30pm that day... so will probably just go for a 2*-3*close to the airport. I'm so happy! I didnt think I'd get such a great deal. Thanks soooo much for all your help!!!!!!
  24. okay i was playing around with different days on hotwire and was able to pull up $192/night for 3/6-3/12! The amenities looked identical. How strange..
  25. i just purchased the Entertainment Book for Hawaii using the referred link. But i cant seem to get the $202 rate on hotwire for 3/8-3/12 I picked all the areas in Maui and got the following 4.5* in Kaanapali for $208/night. Is this the same hotel u see as well? Should i be accessing the hotwire account through a referral link? Customer Favorite! Selected amenities include: Resort, Beachfront, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Spa Services, Children's Activity Program, Golf Nearby Also, if I try booking individual days, am i also running into the risk of getting a different hotel?
