  1. Got this on first bid helped with information on the site. Excellent deal as direct rate is $159. Used link here, thanks.
  2. used the PRICELINE link, started at $110 used rebids and accepted at $140. it is about half price so quite pleased with the result although not quite as good as the previous poster getting this hotel who is staying for a longer time.
  3. Same day bid for two rooms on first bid. Website show rate of $109. used PRICELINE link, thanks.
  4. Started at $43, inreased to $47 using free rebid and accepted for one night. I have stayed here before and it is a great hotel and just what I had hoped for. Used the PRICELINE link on this site, Thanks.
  5. Started bid at $45 and received counteroffer to add $13. Declined offer and increased to $50 which was accepted. Used PRICELINE link on this site. Direct booking price is $119 so a bit less than half price. HOTWIRE match was $59 so was able to undercut a little using PRICELINE. Thanks.
  6. Hi thereuare, got this a few weeks ago and was wondering if you could recommend a spot to view the fireworks & how to get there. I was thinking of using the light rail but how practical is that with the crowds that will be there? Also I have stayed at the Hyatt quite a few times and have had luck with finding parking at the weekend for very little. Are there any options around the Westin like that or am I stuck with what ever the hotel charges. Thanks for your help.
  7. started at $75 and bid $79 and accepted at $81-had PRICELINE offer of extra $5 so actual accepted bid is $86. Had hoped for the Hyatt but looking forward to trying this new hotel. Used the PRICELINE link on this page. Quite surprised to get a hotel here for the 4th of July. Thanks
  8. Started at $40 increased in $5 increments before accepted at $55. Good location and a good deal for race weekend at Pocono Speedway. Used link on this site. thanks.
  9. Started at $60 & counteroffered to add $17. Ignored that and bid again at $66 before being accepted at $70 for two nights. Used the PRICELINE link. Thought I might get the Sheraton or the Sofitel but very happy with this.
  10. Based on your response to the previous poster I became aware that this was available at this very good price. It turned out to be the Sheraton as you said. I had an oceanfront room booked conventionally for these dates. Ill miss the view but a 40% saving was too good to pass up and I won't spend that much time in the room anyway. Used your PRICELINE link-Thanks for the help.
  11. Bid $30 for 2* and was counteroffered acceptance for an another $8. Added additional area at $34 and was declined. Added last area as I didn't care which of the three available areas I got and increased bid to $37. Happily surprised to be upgraded to 3.5* Hyatt Morristown in the original area I was bidding. Thanks for this site.
  12. I have been watching this hotel on HOTWIRE for the last month and it was about $149. Last night it dropped to $105. Got this on the first bid at $75. A good deal for a great hotel the weekend before Christmas. However, I always wonder if I could have bid a little lower when my first bid is accepted.....Happy with the result anyway-used your PRICELINE link before starting my bid.
  13. Started at $45 for 3.5* and was counteroffered to add $13. Used free rebids at $50 & $53 before acceptance and upgraded to 4*. Used PRICELINE link on this site. Thanks.
  14. i have stayed at the Hyatt twice in the last year. There is a row of parking near the hotel and if you are lucky enough to get a spot it is very convenient . It is free after 5pm on Sat and all day Sunday. You need to move by 9am Monday I think. There are other places in the neighborhood that are free as well-read the signs carefully!! I had no problems there at all but I do drive a minivan so possibly a less desirable car for theft....
  15. I might have got this for less but I started at $50 not really expecting to be accepted. I am thrilled as this is the weekend of the Nascar race at Dover 45 minutes away. I have tried for this hotel before on race weekend and had to stay in Philadelphia. Used PRICELINE link above. I have stayed here several times and it a very nice hotel, web rate is $152.
  16. Got this on first try using link at top of the page. Tried last night and was counteroffered to add $13. Declined offer and used free rebid at $50 & $54 which were both declined. I was somewhat surprised that this bid was accpeted tonight. I am glad I didn't start at $55....
  17. started at $75 and increased to $80 and was offered acceptance with a $22 increase. Declined that and started again at $85 by dropping the last night Jun 30 before being accepted at $88. I was then fortunate enough to be able to add back Jun 30 with the add a night feature. Very pleased with the result as I have stayed here several times before.
  18. Gananoque, Brockville & Kingston are all close to the 1000 Islands. Kingston is the largest town of about 125000 and the Holiday Inn & Sheraton Four Points sometimes show up on Priceline for around $80. Summertime might be a difficult time to get a room as there a quite a few events going on at the weekend here and Queens University has convocations for various programs from mid May to mid June.
  19. Got this on the first bid. Great value at this price, Hyatt.com want $179. have stayed here several times and it is a very nice hotel lacking only a jacuzzi in the pool area. Thanks.
  20. This is the hotel at the Rogers Centre(skydome) I was pleasantly surprised to get this particularly at this price as I was expecting the Marriott at Yonge & Bloor which I don't really regard as a 4* as it has no pool. Started at $45 and used free rebids before being accepted. A great deal I think as it is Memorial day weekend and the Blue Jays are playing at home. Used savingsbarn link. Thanks.
  21. What looked like the Hyatt dropped from $159 to $89 on Hotwire. Switched to Priceline & got it using savingbarn.com link on first try for $60. Thanks for all the info on this site as I was able to get just what I wanted at great price.
  22. Patience pays off, after trying on and off for several weeks got on first bid so may have got it for a little less. No matter, got exactly what I wanted so I am thrilled. used savingbarn link of course. Any suggestions for a place to park in the general area that is not too expensive and safe. Thanks for all the help.
  23. Right now I have a cancellable backup for $169 and I had considered the Ramada Limited in Jersey City which is about $130. (After reading some reviews I'm not sure about that one) I would say my max would be about $140. I would consider something in New York but it would have to be fairly easily reached from the New Jersey side as I don't really wannt to drive in Manhattan. Thanks.
