  1. the goldpassport won't help you because you didn't make this reservation directly thru HYATT you have no guarantees about the bedding sorry ummm what date is this trip?
  2. not if you have the right kind of rewards card, some cards any purchase will get you miles ........can you say that again? maybe it's because it's 5:00 AM but I didn't understand what you just said
  3. I'm a graduate student at Univ. of Florida. I'd like to me a moderator or assistant administrator here, I don't have a lot of free time though. No problem, same to you. A really easy way to get miles is with a rewards credit card, I'm a member of a very popular credit message board where I've learned a lot about credit.
  4. You're a professor or teacher?
  5. Can we have a new ranking system, all we have is newbie, member, and advanced member....and what you get there after 50 posts.........there needs to be more ranks and at different levels like 500 posts, 1000 posts, etc. also is there a new version of this BBS available, seems like we're using an old version?
  6. no that won't help the concierge handles giving you directions to places to go and things to do and makes reservations for you in the restaurants, etc. ummmmm I take it you want some kind of a suite with a balcony?
  7. yet another example of why priceline is supreme
  8. short answer is NO, you can't get points for YOUR HOTEL STAY a hotel club card when you use priceline or hotwire however if you go to the hotel restaurant you can present your hotel club card to get points
  9. you make your request for 2 beds directly to the hotel NOT to pricelin how much is
  10. call your Credit Card issuer, and tell them you would like to dispute the charge, they will most likely tell you to wait until the charge appears on your statement.....just explain the situation and tell them you want to dispute it, and then they pretty much take it over from there, they may ask you to write a letter to explain the details, etc.
  11. so you made your new reservation thru hotwire or something else? I don't think they can charge you $25 for giving you a refund like thereuare said, if they REFUSE, file a chargeback against them with your credit card company and you'll most likely win.
  12. well make new plans if you can get new reservations thru say priceline then take the refund and if you can't make new reservations in time take the $25 credit
  13. NOW WE ARE! LOL thereuare just bumped us to the correct forum!!! whew that was a fun ride! but you should go back and edit your orginal post to list the purchase details of your trip, etc. so it will be useful to others
  14. I did a search for 7/16--7/21 Key West 3.5* Cust. Fav., Rest., Pool, Fitness Center, Laundry..........I'm pretty sure this is the La Concha Key West..... it appears the hotel has been re-rated to a 3.5*...........if this is true I think you do have a recourse, I'd get on the phone, I'm sure they're open today because people have hotwire reservations for sundays and they need to call customer service, call and tell them you believe the property has been downgraded and want to know if you can get some kind of a refund or compensation
  15. I'm doing a search for this hotel on hotwire, I saw your description of the amenities of the hotel, was it also listed as a "customer favorite"?
  16. sure, you can try both..... if the rating had changed on your actual reservation you might have recourse....but maybe they rate differently when it's thru their vacation packages
  17. mmmm this seems like a sticky situation, what did hotwire tell you about this exactly?
  18. well when is the trip anyways? sometimes what priceline does is after booking a reservation they'll inform you they have chosen to downgrade the hotel's star rating and will offer a refund or some kind of credit, etc. I seem to remember thereuare warning about not looking at priceline's hotel lists (non-opaque hotels) and trying to use them as a guide for what's available when you bid, and I also seem to remember him saying something similar for hotels thru Hotwire's vacation packages when you log in to your account with hotwire does it still list your reservation as a 3.5*?
  19. cash deposit is something I've heard some people, do but be WARNED I don't know if many hotels will accept that.....consider a debit card, or putting the charges on your credit card, or maybe if these people were Authorized Users on a credit card but I'd be really cautious even cheap hotels usually need a credit card, I was merely listing exceptions to the rule.............consider what I said above
  20. Started bidding for Orlando, FL $56 for the WDW zone $66 adding a free rebid zone $76 adding a free rebid zone $82 adding a free rebid zone $87 adding a free rebid zone and was accepted! 7/22--7/24 (Friday---Sunday), so after tax ~ $205 the going rate from the hotel's website is $152 a night, so after tax ~$339 according to the hotel's website, there is a $12 + $1.15 (tax) = $13.15 per day Resort Fee ***so I'm saving ~$135 by using Priceline!!!!*** I've seen the mixed reviews from here and from tripadvisor....I've examined them closely and find that most of them are biased----people are complaining about WDW or shuttle service or walking from the parking lot or WDW and the hotel having expensive meals and expensive EVERYTHING, but this doesn't make a bad hotel! also some people have complained the property is old, well that doesn't mean it's not a resort I promise I'll come back and give a fair and unbiased review, I must take Tripadvisor reviews with a grain of salt because somebody once said the Peabody Orlando was no better than a MOTEL! I'm REALLY REALLY HAPPY WITH MY RESERVATION, yes I'm aware some people have gotten the Wydham a little cheaper than this lately, but I'm very satisfied!!! I will admit this is the most I've ever paid on a priceline reservation, I still think it's a BIG savings! GO priceline!!!
  21. well mods aren't always for getting rid of spam or noobies causing trouble, sometimes it's just maintaining the site, organizing it,etc. or respond to people's questions while the Administrator is away
