  1. I was surprised this was the winning hotel because the description said it was a 4.5 star boutique hotel, which it's far from. It also said it would be from one of the folowing four chains: * Westin * Le Meridien * Luxury Collection (which would could only be the Palace) * Sofitel (there isn't one in close to this central SF. I would have been happy with any of the top three hotels. St. Francis was running 2x more expensive on a direct basis. Price of $155/night is based on hotel picks the bed/room. King was $25/night more. I'm alone, so fine with a Queen, but I'm also Bonvoy Plat, which I know doesn;t guarantee me anything but hopefully can score a checkin upgrade. Price does not include $25/night destination fee which includes F&B credit and few other benefits, so I am fine with that. High taxes but that's SF.
  2. Booked this hotel for October 2 to October 4, 2023…$155 (plus $25 daily destination fee plus tax= almost $200/night). The hotel is the Westin St Francis… for bidding, the property is listed as a boutique hotel, which really threw me off because the Westin is one of the bigger hotels in the city and far from a boutique hotel. I don’t know how or why they include this designation in the description.
  3. Well, the AAA rate is $119...not sure why they don't take a $110 Priceline bid, i'd certainly pay $10 for full Spg benefits! ;)
  4. Well, quite a lesson...tried, $70, $75, $80, $90, 101, and $110, and was denied each time. So, for $134, I might as well book thru spg and get starpoints, breakfast, etc.
  5. I get it...I think I'll start at $60? SPG rate is actually $139. I think it will end up $75-79?
  6. People's prev experiences at this hotel seem somewhat old and on days whey the going rate was higher?
  7. I don't think I've ever used these bidding sites, or if i did it was so long ago I don't recall, but i think you only get one bid?
  8. Hi. I am interested in the Westin Waltham for tonight. It is selling on SPG.com for $135, which is a low weekend rate. I think it is the only 48 hotel in Netwton-Waltham. $50-60? Also, how do I rebid if I lose?
  9. I am interested in a 4 Star in NY and the city is very busy June 8-10. The Westin Times Square and Renaissance Times Square, two frequent PRICELINE properties, are sold out. HOTWIRE is showing one 4* hotel in the Empire State area for $389 which lists 4-star hotel in Empire State Building the following amenities: Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, and High-speed Internet Access. I would be willing to stay between approximately 34th-60ths streets between Lex and 6/7th Avenue. What should I bid and what am I likely to get?
