This week we bid on tickets from LAS to LIH (Kauai, HI) using the PRICELINE link in this forum. Before bidding we researched airline flight times and decided our plans would work with the guaranteed flight times. I think Priceline guarantees your flight will leave between 6am and 10pm with an arrival prior to 12:30am the following day. We started bidding at $400 a ticket and increased in $25 increments. Our bid was accepted for $525 roundtrip. We saved $190 per ticket, 24%. Our flight is currently listed for $750. The cheapest fares with 1 layover are currently listed for $650, and include an overnight flight. We are happy to have purchased cheaper flights with better flight times. Depart: LAS at 7:15am, 2hr 15min layover in San Francisco, Arrive LIH at 12:30pm Return Flight: LIH at 1:45pm, 30min layover in San Francisco, Arrive LAS at 12:00am All flights are on United departing the last week in August.
