Hello. I am wanting to book at hotel in downtown Indy for the dates in the title. Sunday night is very reasonable but Saturday night is still pretty high dollar. If I book a 3.5-4.5 star hotel on Hotwire it's the expensive amount for both nights. Currently there is a 3* listed at $106 per night using the bidding helper tool. The amenities listed are FULL AMENITIES: Free breakfast, Indoor pool(s), Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Golf nearby. From looking things over it seems this is the Holiday Inn Express downtown. Do I have that right? Also, I know nothing is guaranteed but if I wait until last minute, in your experience, will I have a good chance of getting a much nicer hotel at a much less expensive rate than what is currently listed? We are looking to take a trip to Virginia Beach in July and would like to try and identify and get some good feedback as to which hotels are quality and a good deal for the price. I'll list all the information we got from our HOTWIRE search. We found 3 promising ones. 3-star Chesapeake area hotel - $65/night no smoking complimentary breakfast fitness center pools business center high speed internet Virginia Beach Seaside area hotel - $96/night fitness center pool restaurants Virginia Beach area hotel - $98/night fitness center pool restaurants golf nearby tennis nearby We are not familiar with the area and would like to know things like if these hotels are known, how nice are they/value for price and the distance from the beach. I went through the link on this site for HOTWIRE and booked the room for the dates previously stated. It was the Radisson Plaza-Warwick Hotel for $76/night and lists all the previously stated ammeneties as well. BobC it was very nice of you to lend your time to answer my questions and you were spot on, thanks. If anyone has any helpful suggestions about sightseeing in Philly that out of towners may not know or realize please feel free to let me know. We are planning on seeing all the historical sights plus dining of course. I will definitely be using this site for future travel and will let my freinds know about it also. Thanks again.

Thanks BobC. I'm curious as to how you guys make your guesses on hotel rooms from HOTWIRE? How often are you succesful at hitting the exact one? When I found this site I was very excited. This type of information is so helpful when traveling. Is there any way to save on parking when staying in this area, ie. use public parking garages or what not? Thanks again.

Hi. I'm new to the site. My wife and I are planning a trip to Philly in August and were hoping for some help in making the best decision about our hotel. We are wanting to go see all of the historical sites in the city. From looking at the rates on Hotwire for the past several days it seems like the best over all value would be to stay in Center City East in a 3.5* hotel. The price has fluctuated from $69 to $79 and now $76 per night when checking this morning. Is it possible to get any recommendations for this type of trip we are planning. Another question is, do you know if Club Quarters is still in play because my wife has stayed there in another city and didn't care for it, plus their site showed no king size beds and I am tall.
