  1. Apparently this is now being considered a 3 star again by Hotwire. Silver Legacy and Eldorado don't seem to allow saturday night arrivals, so I went with the 3 star option and felt pretty confident this would be Circus Circus, and I was right. Hotel Rate per night: $48.00 Nights: 1 Rooms: 1 Tax recovery charges & fees: $12.59 Subtotal: $60.59
  2. I just booked an 8 day car rental through the PHL airport and was pleased with my result. Technically my accepted offer price was $12.63 per day because I had $21 bonus cash that was spread over the 8 days. It seems to me essentially that means it was a $12 bid since we aren't allowed to bid on car rentals in fractions of a dollar on PL. But I can edit the topic description if need be. I was told I would have a 'good chance' at a $13 bid by Priceline, but I decided I would start at $9 + bonus cash yesterday, then bid $10 plus bonus cash today and it was accepted. The retail rates were $300+ for my time period, but Hotwire showed $13.95 a day plus taxes for a compact, so I thought I might be able to get less than the $13 a day accepted and I was right. Your Offer Price: $10.00 (per day) Total Offer Price with Bonus: $12.63 (per day) Total Rental Days: 8 days Subtotal: $80.00 Taxes and Fees: $52.13 Total Charges: $132.13
  3. In response to why it looks like rates are higher for you compared to others, you have to keep in mind the dates that are being booked. One person you referenced booked 11/5-11/8, which is only one weekend day compared to your booking in that you are trying to get a friday and saturday night (weekends are typically much more expensive than sunday-thursday in Vegas). Similar dates can sometimes be misleading in that sense. Also, las vegas events or conventions can drive up hotel rates too. On November 12th, there is the Pacquiao fight at MGM grand garden arena which is likely causing rates to go up higher as more people are in town for that event. Combine that with a friday/saturday booking and the rates for that weekend aren't too surprising.
  4. Booked through Hotwire, I'm very happy with the price I got for the saturday night I booked. I'd been actively checking hotwire for this date and this rate didn't last too long after I saw it. The hotel reviews are mixed, but I know they've done some remodeling and at this price point as long as the room is clean I'd be happy. I'm not sure why Hotwire has this property listed as a 3 star, as other websites show it as 2 stars and the hotwire hotel listing here shows it as 2.5*, previously 2. 3*, Plaza Hotel: Rate per night: $21.00 Tax recovery charges & fees: $8.55 Trip total: $29.55 Amenities: Casino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness. When I booked, it said "still gathering reviews for this property". Oh, this is for 10/29/11-10/30/11. Not sure if I can edit the title as its been a while since I've made a post here.
  5. Booked for the second part of my trip. Though I had seen some people book this property between $45 and $60 a night in past won bids on this board, I didn't have high expectations to win. Hotels . com was showing $130 a night + fees for the lowest room here and regular rate on Hyatt website around $179 a night I think. HOTWIRE was showing a 3.5 star in this zone at $120 a night up until today (from what I know the Hyatt is the only 3.5 star in the zone, so I assume it was for this hotel), but then that dropped to $83 when I checked today, so that gave me a little hope. Over the last couple days (with a combination of free rebids) tried 40, 43, 45, 47, 49. Today tried 50, 52, then won it at $54 a night + fees. This was for two nights, 6/2/10 thru 6/4/10. EDIT: I apologize, in having so many forums up I posted this in LA - HOTWIRE instead of LA - PRICELINE. If someone could move it to the correct forum, that would be wonderful.
  6. Yeah, the $10 a night from the Entertainment Book bonus cash is what I meant. Actually I double checked and the taxes/fees were more than I thought, but it was still under 45 a night after all that which seems decent for this hotel.
  7. Hi, First post here. I saw some other posts for this property and just wanted to throw mine in. I started at around 35, then 40. Went to 42, 45, then 46 (over a few days until I found out about the free rebids with the different zones). Ended up winning it with that bid of $46 a night. Seems like this isn't the first time this property has been won for that exact bid recently. Anyways, I had the Entertainment bonus cash so it turned out to about $43.50 a night with taxes/fees included.
