  1. I was checking out the Express deals in Prague for December, and Priceline had an offer that I could "unwrap" (reveal) the names of up to 5 hotels before I booked a reservation. So here are the hotel names and they are all located in Old Town Square - Astronomical Clock: Design Hotel Metropol ($120) 3 stars - Pets allowed, restaurant Charles Bridge Palace ($92) 3 1/2 stars - Free Internet Grand Hotel Praha ($108) 4 stars - Business center, restaurant, pets allowed, free internet Grand Hotel Bohemia Prague ($171) 5 stars - Restaurant, handicap accessible, pets allowed, free internet, business center I thought this information might be helpful to others. I ended up not booking any because my reservation at a certain hotel made months ago ended up to be a better deal.
  2. Yes, another Washington, DC trip. I checked the PRICELINE EXPRESS and suspected the 3.5* was the Courtyard by Marriott Convention Center for $61. I started with $51, failed and went up to $56. Great price for this property.
  3. I won the Courtyard, Washington, DC/US Capitol on 2nd Street. I tried $55, and then $60.
  4. Not sure what I was going to get since there were no 3* listed for PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals for this the Capitol Hill - Convention Center zone. . Quite pleased and surprised it was the the Hampton Inn. Very good reviews and comes with free hot breakfast. I frequent DC and like this area a lot. Very, very convenient. Room subtotal: $408.00 Taxes & Fees: $ 79.04 Total $466.64
  5. Started at $55, failed, used free re-bid and got it at $60. Lowest price on website was $119. Happy with the win since this is a nice hotel with a free shuttle to the local airport.
  6. I'm quite familiar with Sarasota (was just there last month) and this hotel is in a nice area. They also offer a complimentary 24-hour shuttle to the Sarasota-Bradenton Airport, a convenience I need for this trip.
  7. I needed something near the airport and knew they are mostly 3* hotels in that area. I started with $60, and Priceline came back with a counter-offer of $74. I added Siesta Key as a free rebid (no 3* there) and bid $65 and got the Hilton Garden Inn Sarasota-Bradenton Airport. Very good reviews on tripadvisor. Offer Price: avg. per room, per night $65.00 Rooms: 1 Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: $130.00 Taxes & Fees: $24.84 Total: $154.84 I used BiddingHelper.com.
  8. Got the Crowne Plaza Southbury for $60 on January 14, one night. Started bid at $52, got rejected and got a counter-offer for $67. Waited 24 hours and bid $60 and got accepted. Probably should have tried $55, but happy with $60. Used the PRICELINE link.
  9. Unfortunately, no new hotels on Hotwire for our dates and preferred areas. As a matter of fact, the $106 hotel in the first post is now $135! We've decided to go with a bed and breakfast in the area. It's a lot cheaper with breakfast and free internet, with excellent reviews on tripadvisor. Thanks for everyone's help.
  10. I'm a newbie to Hotwire (always used Priceline) and I have read up on the FAQ and other topics. I understand that Hotwire will put the lowest priced hotel per hotel class rating for your date/s. For instance, for my dates of November 15 to 17, the suspected Nayland Hotel has been showing up for a few days at $106 under the 4* class, Notting Hill - Bayswater. Does Hotwire keep this hotel until they sell the inventory, or do they periodically change what they offer even if they still have the inventory for the assumed Nayland? Thank you very much.
  11. Please help identify a 3* hotel in the London Notting Hill - Bayswater area for $93, November 15 to 17. The only amenity is: complimentary breakfast. Thank you.
  12. I, too, did some research and suspected it was the Nayland Hotel which has gotten some mixed reviews on tripadvisor. I think I'll wait since I have time, and see if something else shows up on Hotwire and/or keep trying Priceline (have been unsuccessful up to $95). I've been using the links. Thank you for your help.
  13. Yes, there is a smoke-free icon. Sorry I didn't include that.
  14. Please help identify the following: 4* Notting Hill - Bayswater area Amenities: Complimentary breakfast Business Center High Speed Internet Access $106 for November 15 to 17 Thank you.
  15. Thank you and I will post future bids, and will definitely use your PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links.
  16. Started at $75 for a 4* in Regents Park - North London, came back with a counter offer of $95. I added Wembly for a free rebid at $80 and got the London Marriott Hotel Maida Vale. Tried to get the same price for separate dates (11/14 to 11/16) but failed. Will try again a week from now.
  17. Hello, first time poster but have been a lurker for sometime and a long-time Priceline user. Is the Hilton Metropole back on the Notting Hill-Bayswater area instead of Regents Park? I'm planning to bid soon and not yet sure which area to bid, but the Hilton Metropole is close to a relative's flat. I'll post a recent winning bid as soon as I post this. Thank you.
