I've been working on getting Gulf Shores, AL zone 2, Orange Beach, for a couple of days. Just won Holiday Inn Express Orange Beach On the Beach for $140. I had to drop down to two stars after failed bids up to $145 on 2.5*. This hotel is indeed on the beach and goes for a minimum of 180 right now. It includes an impressive breakfast for free. My dates are 6/7 - 6/10. Amenities include - High-speed Internet Access Outdoor Pool Business Center Cable / Satellite TV Hairdryer Room Service Buffet Breakfast, complimentary daily Refrigerator

I just won Sheraton Overland Park on Priceline for $60 for 7/24/10. Not my desired location but a good price on what appears to be a very busy night. On Priceline I got to the point where they asked me to offer $125 for the downtown or park plaza zones for 3.5 stars. I didn't want to go that high. Still curious to know what the hotwire 4* in overland park was for 79$, if you get a chance. I got Paul McCartney tickets for 7/24! The concert is in the Sprint Center which falls in the Downtown zone. I would like to get one of the downtown hotels but only one is showing up on Hotwire. I tried bidding $50 on Priceline - nothing. I use Hotwire a lot but not Priceline. Could you suggest a strategy for bidding on Priceline. I have one month to make this happen. I will be driving in from the south. I would like to keep the price under 100, but I would also like 3.5 stars if possible. Thanks for suggestions.

I would like to do a PRICELINE bid on a great location, probably Mag. Mile Streeterville Area, for four nights anytime between the dates 6/26 and 7/2. I am hoping for a minimum of 4*. A pool would be nice since this is a vacation trip, but not mandatory. We have three adults on this trip, a couple and a friend. We either need two reasonably priced rooms or a large higher priced room that the three of us could share costs on. If we buy two rooms, the budget should be around 100 for each room before taxes and parking. If one very large room, we could pay 200 or a little more, but it would need to have a large bathroom and two beds, plenty of room for luggage.... I don't know how to find this. We will have a car but will probably just park it and spend our days walking the city. I understand that it will be pricey to park. We plan to enjoy museums, a Cubs game, shopping, restaurants maybe a show... Open for any suggestions. Thanks
