  1. Kind of an unexpected result. Saw a 3* hotel in Springfield North with exactly the same amenities as the Ramada Limited North (Shuttle, Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Golf). Booked it, and it's the (unlisted) Northfield Inn and Suites. Not what I was hoping for, but it should work fine. One possible difference: Northfield Inn and Suites has 85% approval from Hotwire customers. Yesterday, I briefly saw that the approval rating on the 3* hotel with those amenities had gone up to 90% (and the price had gone up $4). Today, it was back down to 85% (and $59). My assumption at the time was some new votes had come in and pushed it over the 90% threshold (and then back), but now the more likely scenario is that the other hotel was the Ramada Limited North. Oh well.
  2. I don't generally use Priceline when I'm out with my family (because it only guarantees rooms for two people). But I saw that someone previous on this forum booked the Pittsburgh Airport Courtyard for almost my exact same dates (6/9-6/12), and I saw that the Courtyard's rooms all fit four people (king+sofa or two queens), so I took a chance. I tried $37 and $40 before ending up with the exact same price the poster before me got, $42. Better than the $99 it's going for elsewhere. And yes, I did book through this forum's PRICELINE link. 3. I'm convinced that's the hotel, but I ended up making a PRICELINE purchase instead (through this forum's links), so I'll close this thread out and start a new one in that forum. Manny
  4. 2* Pittsburgh (Bridgeville) 6/10-6/12 $54 Complimentary Breakfast/Fitness Center/Pool Recommended in 100% of Hotwire Reviews 4* on Trip Advisor I really think there's only two hotels that even exist in the Bridgeville area: the Holiday Inn Express Pittsburgh-Bridgeville and Knights Inn Pittsburgh/Bridgeville. And I think both of those are showing up on Hotwire for this date: the HIE as 2* ($54) and the Knights Inn as 1* ($50). On the other hand, 2* seems a little low for an HIE. Browsing this forum it looks like most HIEs are 2.5* or 3*. Thoughts, anyone? Manny, who will be booking this through the forum's HOTWIRE link
  5. Rate per night: $39.00 Nights: 2 Rooms: 1 Tax recovery charges & fees: $17.13 Subtotal: $95.13 Trip total: $95.13 Amenities: Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service), High-Speed Internet Access Recommended in 85% of Hotwire customer reviews 4.0 in all areas of Customer Ratings Manny
  6. Started at $50 and went up by $5 increments until I ended at $75. Took our chances on getting two beds (two adults, a five-year old and an infant), but getting two doubles and a crib wasn't a problem. Parking was hefty ($35/day, I think), but (a) it's pricey everywhere in the city and (b) we got to stay in the garage for no extra fee through 5:00p. Hotwire was running north of $100 for the same location/date/star-level. Manny
