I've been trying for those dates too - there's a big conference in town that week. I've bid up to $90 for a 3-star in downtown Minneapolis with no luck.

This place was probably the worst of the 4 hotels I stayed in on this trip - also stayed at the airport Hilton, the airport Crowne Plaza, and the Radisson in Sedona. This place had very thin walls, and mold around the ceiling in the bathroom...aside from that, I've definitely stayed in worse places.

Paid $41 for a one-night stay in March...I'm not sure why it's a 2.5 star hotel - the only problem the place had was some inconsistent water temperature.

Stayed here for $59/night in March...nice towels, worn carpet, nice furniture, thin walls...in my book, it's a 2-star hotel with a golf course.

This was my first bid at the 2.5 star level - I used all zones except downtown and went up to $55 at the 3-star level, and got nothing, so I moved down to 2.5 star after seeing the earlier post. Should've started lower. Congratulations, you got your price of $41 for a 2

This was not my first bid...pretty sure I started with 3*, Mesa, $47, then progressively added $1 to the bid, and added a zone (I don't remember the order though, but I'm pretty sure I used all except the ones that had resorts), until I got up to $52.

This was not my first bid...after scouring the web for past winners, I think I started at $45, 3*, Mesa, then went up to $46, added the airport, then up to $47, added Metrocenter. I'm not completely sure about the order in which I added the zones though.
