1. Started at $37 for 3* bolingbrook, gradually increasing bid and adding zones: $37 bolingbrook $39 added downers grove $41 added lisle/naperville $42 added willowbrook/burr ridge $43 added algonquin $44 added lake zurich And used the link.
2. Used BB PRICELINE link. Started at $40, 3*, ND/Roseland, rebid at $45, waited a day, rebid at $50 and $55; gave up and switched to 3* Gulivoire Park, started at $45, rebid at $50 (they had countered at $58); gave up and switched to 2.5* Gulivoire Park, started at $45, they countered at $57, rebid at $50 and won. Total is $121 with taxes and fees for 2 nights.
3. Started bidding yesterday at $70, increased by $5 with each free re-bid; started over today at $95 and was successful at $120 with my last free re-bid. Used the PRICELINE link.
4. Started at $8 yesterday, they countered with $10, I waited to rebid until today, and won for $9, used the link.
5. Pretty sure I was logged in when I clicked the PRICELINE link. Anyway, my "economy" car turned out to be a minivan, even though I placed this bid at 2:30 on the day of the rental - all they had left were minivans, SUV's (for an extra $15/day) and full-size Lincolns - not sure what the extra charge was for those. So I relived that Seinfeld episode.
6. Your Offer Price: $13.00 (per day) Total Rental Days: 2 days Subtotal: $26.00 Taxes and Fees: $21.53 Total Charges: $47.53 I had a backup booked at a total price of $52.72, so this isn't that big of a savings, but I'll take it! Started bidding Tuesday at $9/day (for economy, then compact, then midsize, then standard, then fullsize), then $10 on Wednesday, $12 yesterday.
7. I had to break up my bid for 3/19-3/22 into pieces as well - I was successful with 3/20-3/22 first, and thought this night was going to be much more expensive. It wasn't!
8. Started bidding for 3/16-3/22 with no success, so I broke the stay into pieces.
9. Used the PRICELINE link; started yesterday at $36, 3* Perrysburg, added $2, using Oregon and Toledo North as free re-bids, with no success; started at $40 today, added $1 and Oregon and Toledo North, won with $42. Yesterday after bidding $36 they counteroffered at $46, but I declined.
10. Residence Inn Clearwater Downtown Clearwater 940 Court Street Clearwater, Florida 33756 727-562-5400 3/3 - 3/5 Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $51.00 Subtotal: $102.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $21.03 Total Charges*: $123.03 3/6-3/7 Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $50.00 Subtotal: $50.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $13.72 Total Charges*: $63.72 I started at $35, 3* Clearwater, went up by $3 each time I added a free re-bid zone, then re-started with 3*, Clearwater Beach, at $45, and added Clearwater, then added the free re-bid zones and $3 each time. For the second stay, I figured I could get it cheaper than $51, so I started at $45 and moved up a dollar per zone.
11. Disney World Vicinity 2900 Parkway Boulevard Kissimmee, Florida 34747 407-396-7000 Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $34.00 Subtotal: $34.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $11.66 Total Charges*: $45.66 I started at $30 and added zones and $1 until I got this at $34. I did the bidding for 3/5/09 and 3/7/09 separately. Used the PRICELINE link. I think this place may add a resort fee, but even with that (which would be $10 extra) I think this is still a pretty good deal.
12. Used the PRICELINE link from the front page here. Had bid up to $45 yesterday with no success.
13. Started at $40 for a 3-star in Milwaukee South; added Milwaukee Downtown and moved up to $45. Used the PRICELINE link.
14. Really wanted to be in Dublin or OSU zones, but after bidding up to $64 for a 3-star in Dublin, and up to $60 for a 2.5 star in OSU, gave up and started at $40 for a 4-star downtown. PRICELINE counteroffered at $52, I accepted.
15. A friend did the bidding on this one, so I'm not sure what the details are (first bid, zones added, etc.)
16. I was offered the "add a night" but didn't take it, since I'll be moving around a bit.

18. My sequence went like this: Clearwater 60 + Clearwater beach 63 + Belleair 66 + North clearwater 69 + St Pete Beach 72 + St Petersburg 75 On Friday, I had started at $45 and went up by $2 with each zone; on Sat. I started at $55 and went up by $2.

20. Radisson Hotel Conference Center St Pete Check-In Date: Friday, March 17, 2006 Check-Out Date: Sunday, March 19, 2006 St. Petersburg 12600 Roosevelt Boulevard Pinellas Park, Florida 33716 727-572-7800 Your Offer Price: $75.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $150.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $26.34 Total Charges: $176.34 I started bidding in St. Petersburg at $55, added $3 or $4 per bid, adding all zones except Tarpon Springs. 21. Congratulations, you got your price of $60 for a 3-star hotel room. Radisson Hotel Clearwater Central Check-In Date: Tuesday, March 14, 2006 Check-Out Date: Thursday, March 16, 2006 Total $142.40 ($60 was my first bid for 3/14-16) I tried to use the "extend your stay at the same hotel" to extend my stay to the 18th, but was unsuccessful due to lack of availability on the night of the 17th, so I started a new bid for a 3* in Clearwater for the night of the 16th, at $50, and increased by $2, adding South St. Pete, Clearwater Beach, Belleair, North Clearwater, and St. Pete Beach, and won at $60 for the night of the 16th. Check-In Date: Thursday, March 16, 2006 Check-Out Date: Friday, March 17, 2006 Total $74.55
22. What the heck is this? I haven't used all my free re-bids, but I can't get back to a page where I can bid. After my 2nd bid, I got this, with a list of hotels: Thank You for Naming Your Own Price
23. Update - I'm now up to $110, 3-star, downtown Minneapolis, 8/7-8/10 (also tried 8/6-8/10, since that's how long I'll be there; I'll probably end up splitting the stay), with no luck. There isn't much available (having searched Sidestep, Tripadvisor, etc).
