  2. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $55.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Guests Per Room: 2 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $55.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $15.12 (USD) Total Room Cost: $70.12 (USD) I started going for a four-star and I ended up going as high as $71 with no luck. I tried $55 on a 3-star and got this with my first bid.
  3. Heading to Montreal for one night. It's the third time I've won this hotel through Priceline and this is the cheapest time yet...AND I got it on my first bid, nonetheless. I kind of hate it when I get it on the first try. :) As always, I clicked on the PRICELINE link. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: US$70.00 Subtotal: US$70.00 Taxes & Fees: US$19.94 Total Charges: US$89.94
  4. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $80.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $80.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $18.65 (USD) Total Room Cost: $98.65 (USD) As always, I used the PRICELINE link.
  5. Oops, it was Le Sheraton Centre Montreal.
  6. Catching up on a win from last week. Not too bad, considering that I booked this two days prior and we were splitting the room 3 ways. As always, I used the PRICELINE link. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $100.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $100.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $25.02 (USD) Total Room Cost: $125.02 (USD)
  7. I ended up getting Hyatt Financial District for $130 for these dates. I had bid $125 and got an offer back from Priceline to get a room for $155. I upped my bid by $5 and added a dummy zone. It was more than I wanted to pay, but I had no interest staying outside of Central Boston. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $130.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: $260.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $48.16 (USD) Total Room Cost: $308.16 (USD)
  8. Followed the same pattern for day 2 of bidding. Here are my prices Quincy Market/Fanueil Hall/Financial District 4* - $100 Quincy Market/Fanueil Hall/Financial District + Boston Harbor Front/Aquarium 4* - $110 Quincy Market/Fanueil Hall/Financial District + Boston Harbor Front/Aquarium 4* + 3.5* - $115 Quincy Market/Fanueil Hall/Financial District + Boston Harbor Front/Aquarium + South Boston (Dummy Zone) 4* + 3.5* - $117 Quincy Market/Fanueil Hall/Financial District + Boston Harbor Front/Aquarium + South Boston (Dummy Zone) + Boston Waterfront/Convention Centre(seems to be more expensive than Quincy/Fanueil, so sort of a dummy zone) 4* + 3.5* - $120 I could add Brighton-Brookline and Medford-Somerville as free rebid zones, but I always get freaked out about them upgrading one of the 3* to a 3.5*. Also, I don't really want the Waterfront/Convention Centre zone, it just seems that everything there goes for a higher price than the zones I bid in, namely Quincy/Fanueil.
  9. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $50.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $50.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $12.34 (USD) Total Room Cost: $62.34 (USD) Had bid up to $48 for Manchester and then added Nashua since it's just a stop over on the way to Boston the next day. As always, used the PRICELINE link.
  10. Honestly, I don't really care if I get a 3.5* or a 4 star. I was hoping to spend a max of $110 before taxes and surcharges. I would have added Copley Square, but I'm scared of getting the Park Plaza hotel as I've read about a few incidents of them having bed bugs. Originally I was going to do a 3* bid in South Boston since the Courtyard was the only 3* in the zone, but I was on Priceline last night and it appears as if the Doubletree Club Boston Bayside has now been upgraded to a 3*.
  11. I'm lookint at hopefully getting a hotel in Quincy Market/Fanueil Hall/Financial District for these dates. Here's what I've bid so far: Quincy Market/Fanueil Hall/Financial District 4* - $85 Quincy Market/Fanueil Hall/Financial District + Boston Harbor Front/Aquarium 4* - $92 Quincy Market/Fanueil Hall/Financial District + Boston Harbor Front/Aquarium 4* + 3.5* - $95 Quincy Market/Fanueil Hall/Financial District + Boston Harbor Front/Aquarium + South Boston (Dummy Zone) 4* + 3.5* - $100 Quincy Market/Fanueil Hall/Financial District + Boston Harbor Front/Aquarium + South Boston (Dummy Zone) + Boston Waterfront/Convention Centre(seems to be more expensive than Quincy/Fanueil, so sort of a dummy zone) 4* + 3.5* - $105 Does anyone have any tips on how to proceed from here? Thanks!

  16. 3rd try. I'm a little disappointed since this was listed as a 3.5 star until recently. This should be changed on the board's Ohio hotels list. It came to about $75 with taxes and fees. As always, I used the PRICELINE link to start my bidding.
  17. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $51.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: $102.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $23.56 (USD) Total Room Cost: $125.56 (USD) As always, Iused the PRICELINE link.
  18. Started out in Nashville. The staff here was extremely friendly and the shuttle to downtown was very convenient. The location of the hotel was a bit boring, but the other factors more than made up for it. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $51.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: $102.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $28.40 (USD) Total Room Cost: $130.40 (USD) By the way, I believe I used the PRICELINE link to start 2 of my 3 Tennessee bids, but I forgot for one of them.
  19. Working my way backwards through my recent Tennessee trip. This was Memphis. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $65.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: $130.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $29.50 (USD) Total Room Cost: $159.50 (USD) This was a pretty nice hotel.
  20. I'm new to the board, so I thought I'd share my most recent wins for statistical purposes. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $45.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $45.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $16.22 (USD) Total Room Cost: $61.22 (USD)
