  1. Thank you the the assistance.  To note: previouslly coworkers who stayed at this hotel complained that it was dated, overpriced.  Second note:  I believe the rooms have been mostly updated over the past two years with some outstanding.  I imagine using a bidding site I would have a higher risk of being stuck in a dated room.  Being my honeymoon,  I am passing on this for now and will probably book though a typical sight of possibly HOTWIRE / PRICELINE in the kensington area.

I will follow up with the outcome.

  2. 5* London (Mayfair - Piccadilly Circus - Soho) 11/19-11/23 193$

The price looks a little too good and I am concerned that I will be stuck with a non mainstream 5* that is really a 2-3*.   Any guidance on what these may be?

A Note:  from 2012-2014 I have used priceline/hotwire in this area to book 8-10 hotels.  I always ended up with the Metropolitan of Le Meridien.  Both amazing deals using HOTWIRE or PRICELINE.  I am not sure what people are ending up with nowadays!

  3. Intercontinental - 229$ Via their web site for Thursday. Hotels.com Avg nightly rate for the 3 days of ~269

I have been trying for the past 4 days and was never able to get the 75-85$ Grand hyatt. I actually had a USE/USW/Financial distric 120$ rejected. I added Soma, 130$ and was accepted. I am guessing it is because I included Friday/Sat night as opposed to most the other grand Hyatt bids. Although, arn't weekends supposed to be less booked and cheaper??
