  1. Used the PRICELINE link to book from this site. Started at $78 and increased at $5 intervals by adding rebid zones. $83... $88... $93... $98... $103 Accepted! The Westgate Hotel Downtown San Diego & Harbor Island 1055 Second Avenue San Diego, CA 92101 Offer Price - $103 Subtotal - $206 Taxes & Fees - $35.64 Total Charges - $241.64 Total Per Night - $120.82 Hotel Website Pice = $285 Can't complain too much I suppose. A little sad that I didn't get the $78 or $82 rates that other users where reporting but still happy! Thanks Again Better Bidding! :)
  2. Not my best bidding effort but tried just about everything. Started at 3* $80 $85 $90 $95 $100 Added 2.5* $80 $105 $110 $115 $120 $130 when I added Atascadero Zone and was accepted by Holiday Inn Express Atascadero. They are asking $162 on the Holiday Inn Website. A bit disappointed but I used the PRICELINE link from here at least! :) Thanks again Betterbidding.
  3. Used the PRICELINE link above and got this deal on the first bid. Whenever that happens I always feel like I am leaving money on the table a bit. But I guess I can't feel too bad. The same hotel on Expedia was $219. Thanks again Betterbidding! :)
  4. Bid only once because I checked this forum first!!! Betterbidding is bomb! 4* in Downtown-Harbor Island Area .... $61 February 20, 2011 to February 21, 2011 I also wanted to mention that I used the PRICELINE link from this website! Thanks guys!
  5. Was trying to get something downtown also. Tried a bunch of zone additions for downtown from $65 to $95 with none accepted so I added San Diego Coastal and went down to 4* and was accepted on first try. Used the PRICELINE link from Betterbidding! :)
  6. Hello all! Just wanted to report... Used the PRICELINE link on Betterbidding.com and had been working on this for a couple of weeks. Hertz Rental Car Company Your Offer Price: $37.00 (per day) Total Rental Days: 3 days Subtotal: $111.00 Taxes and Fees: $38.83 Total Charges: $149.83 Lowest Published Price: $293.75 Total Savings:* $143.92 (You saved 49%)
  7. Tried Bidding $50 first in Zone 9 Added re-bid zone and bid $86 and was accepted. I used the PRICELINE link above as well. $86 for the Red Lion Hotel on Fifth in Downtown Pike Place area of Seattle it is a 3* Hotel. I checked the Red Lion website out of curiosity for those same dates and the cheapest room was $136. So I am pretty happy with this bid. Thanks again betterbidding.com!
  8. I think the secret to this is trying IMMEDIATELY after midnight. I had been trying either in the midmorning or evening for several days going from $85 and 4* adding $5 with each extra zone to $105 and failing everytime. tried again today at about 1am in the morning... tried 4* at $85 and they offered me to increase my bid $22 and i would be able to make the exact same star rating and zone. but i refused it and went to $90 and added USW. got rejected... so i tried $95 and added fisherman's wharf. ACCEPTED! chaching! pretty happy with this one. going to always bid at 1am in the morning from now on.
  9. i'm getting $149 for those dates... 5/23 to 5/26. but i may just go with that. doesn't seem too far away from where i need to be. thanks for that suggestion.
  10. I'd rather not split my bid and yes i am trying basically all of the midtown and downtown locations. adding them all as rebid zones while bidding up to my maximum of $160
  11. tried again today with no luck up to $160. included all locations in lower manhattan starting at $140. 4 stars.
  12. So I tried again using the PRICELINE Link to help support the site and tried some of the bids that people who posted here tried... i tried $125 in MTE and got rejected so i tried $144 and added a rebid zone, and got rejected (recently someone got the Grand Hyatt at this price) then i tried $151 and added a rebid zone, and got rejected (recently someone got this price for my exact dates at the grand hyatt!) so then i tried $155 and i got this message... WE ARE STILL WORKING ON YOUR REQUEST: Thank you for your patience. We're still looking for a hotel room at your price and should have an answer for you within 15 minutes. Click on the button below to get your answer. Check My Status Click here to see a summary of your request. If you cannot access the status of your request after one hour, do not submit another request. Instead, call our automated information center toll-free at 1-800-657-9168. then it was subsequently rejected... about 5 min later... so now i am trying $160 with another rebid zone, and i still lose! how come people are getting better deals for exactly the same dates?
  13. i think i ended up booking the tuscany for this stay, it was $150 from their website. it was 2 years ago tho.
  14. Tried again today. for dates 5/23 to 5/26. Bid up to $160 and am still getting rejected. Included all of downtown-soho, MTE, MTW, MTS, Times Square, and Upper Midtown Central Park South. No success
  15. I would definitely like to stay below $200 for this stay. and yes, i did try all the regions that you listed. I will continue trying today.
  16. I have so far tried all the mid town locations in the 4 star range up to $150 and have received no counter offers or acceptances. I would very much like to receive the W at $145 like someone got not too long ago. any suggestions?
