I ended up with The Roosevelt. I wanted it because of the location. I searched for 1 adult 1 night. Thanks for your help. PS 1) How do I add photos to the board? Yeah, a company like HOTWIRE is bound to have small print covering everything possible. What irks me most though is the fact that they really fooled me. Regardless of the hotel outcome I was always sure there's some sort of discount by using Hotwire. Being more expensive then the actual hotel website is a new low (or high...)

This is the super deal from Hotwire "reg $144" Rate per night: $96.00 Nights:1 Rooms:1 Taxes:$11.02 Occupancy tax:$8.30 Fees:$11.24 Subtotal:$126.56 Trip total:$126.56 But when I went to the Hotel's website I found this: Distrikt Hotel Website Arrival:2/10/2014 Departure:2/11/2014 Length of Stay:1 Night Room 1:Grandview Doubles Guests:1 Adult, 0 Children Best Available Rate:103.55 USD Subtotal:103.55 USD Taxes & Fees:18.77 USD Estimated Total Cost:122.32 USD Hotwire has a 'Low Price Guarantee' but since their rate is technically $96 (although they make up for it in the mysterious "fees" which even the hotel doesn't charge) and the hotel's rate is $103.55 even if the grand total from the hotel website is lower, there's no 'Guarantee' - just a plain old rip-off.

Alright... I used the link to go to PRICELINE.com, bid $90 for 4* in Hollywood = rejected. Added Santa Monica / Marina Del Rey and bid $105 won the W Hollywood! Thanks once again for this great board!

OK, Since I'm considering this hotel I did some research and there is a parking lot right around the corner on 1634 Argyle Avenue called Sunshine Auto Park. The prices thre are much cheaper but a bit confusing because they count a day from 12pm so if you park at night and leave after 12pm the next day you end up paying $20 plus an extra $10 but if you leave before 12pm it's only $20. Hi folks I see that the W Hollywoood is offering rooms at great prices via Hotwire and Priceline. (there is currently a "super savings" of $131 per night on Hotwire for a hotel that matches the description of a recent W win and I see somebod scored a $105 on Priceline. I'm looking to get this hotel at the best price, any tips as to how I can bid properly on Priceline? My dates are 1/21 - 1/24 Thanks in advance. There are currently four 4* ated hotels on Priceline in the Hollywood area. The W Hollywood, Renaissance, Hollywood Roosvelt and Redbury. I prefer the W. :)

Just be aware that MANDATORY valet parking is $38 per day.

ok I took a gamble with PRICELINE (using the above link) and put in $50 for a 3* property in Dulles North - Herndon - Reston. I was shocked when I actually won. It's the Courtyard by Marriott Herndon Reston. I took two rooms, grand total for both rooms, after taxes $119 Thanks for all your help. This board is really great!!!
