  1. Well, the possibility of getting the Westin was more than I could pass up, so I went straight to PRICELINE EXPRESS, pulled the trigger and yup, I got the Westin for $151/night! I have limited ability to walk these days, but a few blocks is doable. Thanks so much for the suggestion. It was worth the risk. ;-)
  2. 1) Yes, the goal is the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay 2) No, MTE is not a good idea. I'd like to minimize my chances of being far from a subway stop (although I do understand that there are not guarantees) Thanks!
  3. Ok, I am willing to add MSG, ESB and Chelsea. Thanks for the heads up about the Hudson Hotel. That would not be acceptable.
  4. Hi, Haven't been here in a while! I would like bidding help for up to $185, 3.5 star-5 star in CPS, MTW, MTE or TS-TD. Thank you!
  5. I'm looking at a 3 star hotel on HOTWIRE, 6/21/14-6/22/14 $120.00 Smoke free rooms Fitness Center Pool Self service laundry Internet Access I thought maybe it was Resorts Atlantic City but spa and casino are not on the list. Thanks!
  6. Thanks, thereuare. My event is Saturday night so I am stuck with that date. I'll also bid up to 3 stars to $100 (in the AC are only). I will keep you posted on my results. Thanks.
  7. Thanks for the follow up! My plans are set. I already bid up to $88 for 3.5 and 4 star hotels for 2 rooms in Atlantic City Area for June 21-22. I used the PRICELINE link here. No win. I only want to go up to $100 per room.
  8. I am wondering when I should bid (April, May, June) for a stay in AC in June? Thanks.
  9. Started bidding at $50. Was prompted to free rebid (at $75) for $96. But kept rebidding until $85. Very happy with this price! :D
  10. Ended up getting 2.5* DoubleTree by Hilton Tinton Falls for $85 by bidding up starting at $75. Tried the "Add a Night" option but was rejected. I did check the hotel's website and there are no rooms available for Saturday night. Am happy to have gotten what actually looks like a nice room in the shore area. I also did some looking and saw that I can get the Best Western in Hazlet for $89 Saturday night via their website, so I may "extend" my shore stay that way. :-) The BW is well rated on TripAdvisor. Now knowing THAT price vs. my PL win price, I would have booked the BW for both nights just so I don't have to change hotels. I should've done just a little more research before I clicked, but live and learn. Used your PRICELINE link when bidding. Thanks for the assistance!
  11. Yes, a beach break. I live about 2 hours away, so I am considering just driving back and forth if I can't get a place at my maximum. Just trying to avoid driving in shore traffic more than necessary. I will consider whether I want to go lower star or not. I also definitely think I will try for other off-shore locations before I give up. I will post my results either way. Thanks for your advice!
  12. So sorry, I was really frustrated when I wrote the post. ;-) It would be Aug 19-20.
  13. Using your PRICELINE link, I've been bidding 3.5* (up to $90) and 4* (up to $105) in Atlantic City and 3.5* (up to $105) and 3* (up to $95) in Tinton Falls - Eatontown - Long Branch, Hazlet, Neptune and Wall. Looks like prices are much lower during the week than weekends (8/22-26 for $55 in AC!). Quite honestly I didn't want to go above $100. Will I need to bid on 2* hotels to stay below or up to $100? Thanks!
  14. Starting bidding at $45. Won. Used PRICELINE link.
  15. Bid, $55, $60, $65, won. Used PRICELINE link.
  16. Started at $50, closed browser, re-opened, changed zone and bid $55, added zone, rebid $60, accepted. Used PRICELINE link as always.
  17. Was looking for a hotel for my folks who are driving from Ohio to the Wisconsin Dells. Dekalb, IL seemed like a good stopping point to them. Did a search for Dekalb and got 3 zones that I bid on. Starting placing bids at $45. Ran out of bids and did a PL search for "Hinckley, IL" which also brings up Dekalb but a different combination of zones. :-) More bids! Not a real method to my bidding - I started out at $5 increments then went to $2 increments. Of course used PRICELINE link.
  18. Just won this trip on Priceline for $115. Club Quarters Downtown. Bid starting at $90. At $105 and $110 got a counteroffer to raise bid by $22 but just kept raising the bid by $5. Am very pleased with this win (even though someone else here won this hotel for these EXACT dates for only $90 :) ) That's just the way it goes. As usual, used PRICELINE link.
  19. $139 Fitness Laundry Internet Recommended in 75% of customer reviews
  20. Yes, I was glad it wasn't that much higher. And I've been wanting to try Ess-A-Bagel for years, so I'll finally have my chance! :-)
  21. Note: Booked for 3 people. There was a lower rate for just 2 people on these dates ($142). Fitness Internet Restaurant Business Center Used BB HOTWIRE link.
  22. I'm posting this info from a friend who just won it on the first bid. She didn't use your link here (can't get everyone to use this GREAT resource, but I try!), but I know it's good for us to have the data.
