What day are you you looking for. I am flying out on Sunday and tried for a while to get this for saturday but eventually gave up and booked with another hotel. It is a cancellable reservation though.

We ended up booking directly with the Quality Inn across from the hotel. It is costing us $125USD (including taxes) for 1 night stay and parking for the week.

I'd say to be safe maybe 70 as I am not sure if the hotel will charge extra for us to park their for the week

The goal is not having to drive that early although if it is to expensive than I will have to drive early.

My backup plan is to get up at 4am and head to buffalo.

Tried another bid at 65 today and was rejected

Tried a bid at $65 today and it was rejected How would you know if the hotel is fully booked for your date? I went to the website and tried to search availability for my date but they said they had none. Is this trustworthy? Or do they always hold some rooms back?

Wife and I are flying out of buffalo on Aug 1st and would like to stay at the Mariott in Amherst as I hear parking is $1 a night and they have a shutte to and from the airport. Looking to pay around 60 bucks as it will cost 50 bucks to park at Buffalo airport for the week. The Mariott is the only 3.5* in Amherst.

Tried bidding today up to 65 dollars for Jul 31st-Aug1st and would not accept my bid

I got the Sheraton in MTC for 150 a night from Aug1st to the 6th thru PRICELINE (my winning priceline bid)

I randomly changed our dates and got the Sheraton New York Hotel And Towers at 150 per night for 5 nights (Aug 1st to August 6th) It was my first bid at 4* in MTE, MTW, TS

For around $146 I would hope to get a 4* for that time of year. I was willing to go as high as $140 and I did bid that but the bid was rejected. I believe I bid on MTE, MTW, TS, CPS and Chelsea when I got the message from Priceline to increase my bid by 20 bucks for the original amount of $126. At $132 I also got a message about increasing my bid by 20 dollars and I elected not to as well.

Once I got the message from Priceline to up my bid by 20 dollars and retry I upped my bid to $140 for 3.5* and still no dice.

At a bid of $126 for 3.5* I got a message from PRICELINE to inscrease my bid by 20 dollars to $146 and they would process the bid again for me. What is a good strategy at this point?

Sorry didn't get around to posting the amenities and now the hotwire listing is no longer there. I am still looking for 4* in the the above zones. What would be my re-bid zones for a 3.5*? For 3.5* I think the max I would pay would be 110 in MTE, MTW, CPS, TS and ESB

Hello I am looking to visit New York for a week in August - we would like a 4* hotel for the average tourist so most things are accessible for us. I am hoping to spend around $125 but am willing to go to a max of $150. In general what are the best 4* hotels in New York. Some friends of ours stayed at the Grand Hyatt and said it was really nice. I am familiar with the re-bidding system.

I am looking to stay in the NYC area around this same time and looking for a 4* Is there an advantage to switching your hotels mid-week?
