  1. Happily heading to our beloved San Francisco to celebrate our anniversary. Asking price on the Intercontinental site is $242 vs the $196 we paid. Some savings. Looking forward to out first stay at this Hotel. 2. I was pleased with my stay there -nice hotel and I like the location, even though is not very lively at night. Would stay there again. The only minor glitch: they did not have internet connection in room, however in the lobby the wireless signal was good.
  3. Review: Very good location, convenient to Campus. Great, courteous staff. Spacious room, updated and well decorated. Internet and garage were additional although the prices weren't exorbitant ($10 a piece per day). Would do again at this rate, good deal.
  4. My review. Great location, very good staff. Did park a few blocks away for 1/3 of the rates the hotel offers (as you can imagine very overpriced!). Internet additional so I skipped being online and spend more time talking to my Mother (this tip was her Mother's day present -great memories! :) Room decor completely outdated, although room itself clean and good size for San Francisco. At the price I got, great deal.
  5. It has been a while but my general review of this hotel is very positive. I liked the rooms, spacious and graciously (modern) decorated. We had an ocean and city view -really nice. Very children friendly, fantastic staff. We walked to the beach every morning (rather we rode the elevator downstairs!!) which was a big plus. I rented a surfboard with Hawaii Surfboard Rentals http://www.hawaiisurfboardrentals.com/ they delivered it to the hotel and I left it for them at the bell desk -no hassles, the guys at that company were great! Parking overpriced as you could expect, internet is additional but they have computers in the lobby area where the access is free. I would say it was a tremendous deal! Great memories with my family.
  6. I am back and enjoyed very much my stay there. Here is my review: First, I should thank the Veritas staff for their every little act of kindness -they were great. From calling me a cab early on my departure day and being sure I was ready to their knowledge of good food and wine in the area. Big pluses for me were: the gym on Massa Ave (great feel, location and machines) is included, drinks and espresso machine (included as well) and the glowing clean and big bathroom. Room itself was small -I would add a hard pad to place a laptop while in bed (no desk). It's a business hotel, would not take my family with children there, although is good for couples.
  7. First time I use PRICELINE (using the link here) for London. Prices are in dollars and pounds before and after taxes. Not really a deal when the Grange Hotel website offers the same rate. Well, I don't have to worry anymore about where I am staying -that's nice! :) I agree with a comment read here that the PRICELINE areas and hotel qualities in London are too large and spread (plus postings here somehow sparse) so it is not really good to use PRICELINE (Game advantage: them!). Next time will try lastminute.com or a Brit website or probably just book directly from a hotel with decent reviews and rates. Cheers. ps. Amenities: 24 Hour Front Desk Bellman Concierge Breakfast Room Bar/Lounge Remote Control Television Direct Dial Telephone High Quality Bath Amenities Private Bath Hair Dryer In-room Refreshment Center
  8. Forgot: This hotel features the following amenities: Boutique Hotel Property offers a distinctive, unique or eclectic atmosphere. Many boutique hotels are smaller, hip properties in an urban setting, or renovated hotels with historical flair. Smoke Free Rooms Guest rooms at this hotel are always smoke-free. High-speed Internet Access Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply.
  9. Lucky since I will be working at Harvard so I do not have to worry about transportation, I can walk. Pleased and I will be back for the review of the place. Priceline was too hard to bid so I used Hotwire. I used the HOTWIRE link provided here on a Hotel Veritas thread.
  10. First offered US$55. Priceline came back offering that is I upped the bid by US$13 per day they would not ask me to change any settings. Ended up at US$68 plus taxes. Dates: 6/6/2010 to 6/9/2010. I estimate maybe I need to add parking and internet service. Still savings from the US$159 the hotel usually aims for. :)
  11. $75. First bid got it. Dates are this coming weekend 5/7/10 to 5/10/10.
  12. Thank you all for posting. My previous offer was $92 :) , so there is a gap to be researched there! Not expecting great room but location seems fun. Traveling with family :)
