  1. Using the board PRICELINE link I successfully got the Omni Hotel in Downtown San Diego for $82.00 a night. I bid as follows 4* 1) SD Coastal 68.00 2) + Coranado 70.00 3) + Downtown 72.00 4) + La Mesa 74.00 5) + Mission Valley 76.00 6) + Point Loma 78.00 7) + Sorrento Mesa 82.00 and won the Omni Parking fee is a bit high, but other then that, I am pretty excited about the result. Does anyone know of alternative parking options for this hotel... street or other parking garage for less than the hotel charges? Good luck bidding.
  2. Crossing my fingers on the parking. If anyone has any info off site parking options for this hotel, let me know. Thanks. Used the board PRICELINE link and got the 3.5* Sheraton Garden Grove Anaheim South for 9/9/11-9/11/11 for $64.00 per night.
  3. Been bidding on 3.5* and 4* in the Orange County area for the past week (cant remember what and how I bid last week otherwise I would post). Today my offer of $64.00 for a 3.5* was accepted for 2 rooms for 2 nights for the second weekend in September. Bid 3.5 1) Newport $51.00 2) +Seal Beach $53.00 3) +Costa Mesa $55.00 4) +Disney/Orange $57.00 5) +Disney/Anaheim $59.00 6) +Laguna Beach $61.00 7) + Anaheim Hills $64.00 and won the Sheraton Garden Grove - Anaheim South. Not pumped about the parking fee, but anywhere near a major city in CA I guess odds are that you will get nailed with a parking fee. Other then that, fairly happy with the outcome. Good luck everyone.
  4. Bid 80.00 on south strip then bid 90.00 and included north strip. No luck on either bid. Just going to hit the road and see what I can find when I get to Vegas. Good luck bidding everyone.
  5. Just posted. I never ended up bidding any more than my initial attempts that went to 130.00 so I never thought to make a follow up post. Thanks for the reminder though.
  6. Decided not to re-bid and go over 130.00. I ended up staying on St. John at concodia eco resort.
  7. I am taking a last minute trip to Vegas this weekend and I am looking for a room on the strip for this Saturday June 25th. What are the chances I get a reasonable rate this last minute? I am looking at the 4* and I would be fine with any of the hotels listed on Strip South or Strip North. I would love to land something for 75.00 - 100.00 for the night, but I dont know if that is realistic. If so, what is the best way to bid for success. Thanks, Kelly
  8. Using the PRICELINE links on this site I have bid up to 130.00 with no luck. May try for one or two more days, but its not looking good to get the hotel for the price I had hoped for.
  9. Walton, thanks for the info. Keep me posted and I will do the same. Thereuare, yes, I would be willing to take any Resort on the island.
  10. Could anyone give me suggestions on how to best go about bidding on The Marriott Frenchmans Reef on St. Thomas for May 18th for one night. I am hoping to not spend any more than 125.00 for the night, and ideally would like to spend around 100.00. Not sure if this is realistic or not. Thanks in advance.
