Did not get anything up to $130. Started again from the PRICELINE link of the site at $135 and aimed for both SOMA and USW-Nob Hill. Got Parc 55 at $165.
  2. Started from the PRICELINE link of the site at $90 and bid for strip north only. Worked up to $150 and got Palazzo. This is exactly the property I want :) Also, I got 2 rooms at the same rate, for some reason the subtitle did not display 2 room.
  3. Started from the PRICELINE link of the site at $75. Offered with $93. Close the browser and started again at $80. Offered with $93. Close the browser and started again at $85 and got Hyatt Regency.
  4. Started from the PRICELINE link of the site at $70 and got the Edgewater at $85.
  5. Started from the PRICELINE link of the site at $70. Offered with $85. Close the browser and started again at $75 got Sheraton.
  6. Started at $90 from the PRICELINE link on the top of the site. Luckily enough, the offer was accepted and got the same hotel we won on priceline for the next 2 days. So we will be able to crash in the hotel right after black friday shopping and don't have to move in the next day :)
  7. Just got Hyatt Regency at $120 from Priceline. I guess I saved $16 then.
  8. Started from the PRICELINE link of the site at $80 for NMA-River North. Went up to $110 without any success. Re-started from the PRICELINE link of the site at $80 for Millenium-Loop-Grant Park. Went up to $110 without any success. Re-started again from the PRICELINE link of the site at $115 for both NMA-River North and Millenium-Loop-Grant Park. Got Hyatt Regency at $120. I guess it is a decent/reasonable price for the Thanksgiving weekend then?
  9. Amenities: Smoke-free, fitness, restaurant, business center, laundry facility, Internet, and Spa $136 per night. I guess it will be Hyatt Regency Chicago as no other property has laundry in the same zone. Thanks!!
  10. Started at $85 from the PRICELINE link of the site for NMA-River North. Went up to $115 without any success. Started again at $120 from the PRICELINE link of the site for Millenium-Loop-Grant Park. Went up to $185 without any success. Started again at $187 from the PRICELINE link of the site for both NMA-River North and Millenium-Loop-Grant Park, got the Sutton Place. After tax the total comes to $224.56, which is about $50 cheaper than other booking websites and most of the websites do not offer any room at this point. Apparently, Chicago will be very busy for the upcoming weekend. But I am still surprised that it cost so much for a one-night stay. I am just wondering for bidding NMA-River North and Millenium-Loop-Grant Park together, should I started with a price lower than $185 or should I increase a little bit. I thought if I bid $185 again, I will not get anything from the Millenium-Loop-Grant Park. Meanwhile, I might pay way more for a property in NMA-River North. Perhaps, I have overly paid for this property. Just want to figure out what I should do if I end up with similar situation next time. Nevertheless, I can not do anything about the price for this stay. According to the reviews from tripadviosr, this property seems to be quite nice.
  11. Started from the PRICELINE link on the top of the page at $90, offered a room at $113 Started again from the PRICELINE link on the top of the page at $95, offered a room at $113 Rejected the offer and added a zone at $96...no luck. Started again from the PRICELINE link on the top of the page at $97, accepted!
  12. Started from the PRICELINE link on the top of the page at $100...no luck add a zone at $130...no luck add the last zone at $150, accepted! Perhaps, I raised the price too quickly.
  13. Started from the PRICELINE link on the top of the page at $100 aiming for Montreal (Downtown-City Center), bidded up to $140 without any luck. Started again from the PRICELINE link on the top of the page at $100 aiming for Montreal (Convention Center-Old-Latin), offered a room at $143. Started again from the PRICELINE link on the top of the page at $110 aiming for Montreal (Convention Center-Old-Latin), got a room at $130. Really wanted a room in downtown, I think $140 is not so far from the price for a room in downtown. Any thoughts?
  14. Started from the PRICELINE link on the top of the page at $90, offered a room at $104. Restarted again with one free re-bidding zone at $95. Got Marriott Toronto Downtown Eaton Centre.
  15. Thanks to thereuare and AaronJB! I agree on its unbeatable location. And hopefully a lower expectation will make my stay more satisfying. What was the reason not to take the upgrade offer? The view did not worth the money?
  16. Book thorugh the PRICELINE link of the site. Started from $100, ended up with the Westin on Magnificent Mile. Read a few negative reviews on tripadvisor, preying not to experience the same for my trip...
  17. Went out of mind and bid through the PRICELINE link on this site up to $165 for one night from 7/16-7/17 for two rooms. Ended up with Intercontinental Toronto Yorkville. This is the one I really hope to get. I went above $140 as the price suggested by Expedia for Sutton Place. So there is a lower limit for each hotel priceline assign? Otherwise, I would most likely getting the Sutton Place for $165 per night? I thought bidding too much will result in getting a overpriced hotel. But still thanks thereuare for the help thoughout the bidding porcess. Will come back for next journey really soon :)
  18. 7/16-7/17 4* Downtown West $113 smoke-free, fitness, pool, restaurant, business, hi-speed internet 90% recommended Best guesses: Inter-Continental yorkville Renaissance Sheraton Centre 4* Downtown East $121 smoke-free, fitness, pool, restaurant, business, hi-speed internet, spa 95% recommended Best guess: Westin Harbour Castle Is it possible to narrow down the one in Downtown West? Is there any other possibility for the one in Downtown East? Thanks!!
  19. I have stayed at that property before on my previous trip to Toronto. I was not completely satisfied with its location, as it's not that CLOSE to shopping areas. And I am only going to stay in Toronto for one day this time, I'd really hope I can end up somewhere on Bloor st (perhaps Yorkville). I guess for now I just have to keep trying and not exceed $140, in case I end up with the Sutton Place hotel. Is that a right strategy?
  20. Priceline Intercontinental 234 Marriott Yorkville 258 Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre 206 Pantages 186 Sutton Place Hotel 149 Expedia Intercontinental 234 Marriott Bloor Yorkville 259 Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre 228 Pantages 186 Sutton Place 140 It seems like I have already exceeded the lowest possible, why am I still not getting any result? I understand bidding higher does not mean getting the ones that are more expensive, so where should I set my cap?
  21. Just went up to $160 and still no luck at all. What is happening in Toronto during that weekend? It is just very hard to believe Toronto could be more expensive than NYC?!
  22. The 4* hotel in Downtown West on Hotwire has the following: smoke free, fitness, pool, restaurant, business, hi-speed internet 90% customer reviews. That could either be Inter-Continental Toronto Yorkville or Sheraton Centre Toronto. But I am guessing it's Sheraton. I really want to get one of the Downtown North hotels from PL, that's why I didn't want to purchase through hotwire. Do you think I should keep trying for a few days and not exceed $110 as suggested on hotwire? I understand getting two rooms at the same hotel might be more difficult at a low rate that's why I tried up to $155. But I got 2 rooms at the Intercontinental in NYC MTE from 7/29-7/31 for only $145, could Toronto be more popular than NYC?
  23. Begin from the PRICELINE link of the site. Tried to get 2 rooms for a 4* hotel in downtown north. Tried $70 up to $155. No Luck at all! The price at HOTWIRE for downtown was even cheaper than that!
  24. Bid through the PRICELINE link on the site for 3.5* LGA for 7/6-7/7 to catch a 6AM connection at LGA after landing JFK at 8PM the night before. Bid from $70 upto $110. Finally got accepted to Marriott LGA.
  25. Bid through the PRICELINE link on the top of the page. Fist bid of $145 at MTE was accepted to Intercontinental-The Barclay.
